there are too many people trying for a reservation. It'll literally be like winning the lottery if you are able to reserve one.
I still consider it a better option than lining up today. Also, it's something you can try daily and even throughout the day. I got lucky in the afternoon with my iPhone 6+. If you stay on top of it you should be able to have something by the end of the week.

just picked up mine from Upper Canada Mall. There were about 80 people waiting for walk ins but 95% of them got turned down cuz they had no more left

does anyone have their delivery dates bumped up? Ordered mine on the pre order night on 27th 3:13 (due to the site lag). People seem to have theirs bumped to earlier dates. Mine is still at 21-28NOV

All of this just boggles my mind. Is 2-3 weeks wait really too long? Does the launch day all night line-up and getting a 64gb phone makes people immortal or happy for the rest of their lives... I am sure most people have a working phone that can last another 2-3 weeks or you might even get lucky with online reservations...

And NO.. it's not fun to line up outside in this weather... May be for Aussies with their warm climate but not here. So I don't buy that logic..

Anyways... Goodluck.

It definitely wouldn't have been worth it for me. My 128GB iPhone 6 has only 6GB of free space left, so I definitely need a 256. If I waited in that line all night I would just end up reselling it. I waited in line all night for Boxing Day sales when I was 17. I learned my lesson then and won't be doing that again. It sucks!

from personal experience, so far face ID is really slow compared to touch ID. also has to be in front of ur face can’t be on the table to unlock :(

Hmm. I wonder if they would let Public Mobile users buy them outright.

I’ve seen 2 people buy previous iPhones models that were not Telus customers. This was not on launch day though. They didn’t even give a phone number. One guy was picking up a new phone for his girlfriend on Telus (didn’t give her phone number) and the other person was just rude and didn’t give any reason, just demanded a phone. I don’t know if this is still something Telus allows. At the time, Telus full priced phones were $50 more than Apple retail price. We don’t have an Apple store where I live though.

You’d end up with a phone locked to Telus though. Currently, Telus requires the phone be on their network for some length of time before they will unlock it.

Not sure what would happen when the December 1 guidelines comes into play though. Maybe if you hung onto it until then they’d have to unlock it for you.

I got into the line at 2am and decided to take a crazy risk and cancelled my online order.

I ended up with a 256 silver.

They had both colours and I was unsure so I just randomly got the silver as it’s different than my current jet black.

I heard if you turn attention aware off, it will work when flat on a table.

I’m really hoping you’re right. Although I’d imagine it has to be somewhat close to you, in order to see your face.

I think this is my only major concern with Face ID, as my phone is on my desk 8 hours a day and I unlock it often with Touch ID while laying flat.

Fairview mall in toronto had like so little, but said they getting shipments through out the day and said stay in line I figured can’t waste my whole day, just hoping 21-28 shipments get bumped or some progress is shown soon

Hmm. Maybe I can take a chance on Eaton centre for a couple of hours today.

That's awesome, but why would you cancel your order before you knew you would get one this morning? Why not after? lol

The phones are likely unlocked as its not worth locking them just to be forced to unlock on Dec 1. All the iPhone 8 and X on Rogers are not locked.

Well, Santa came early this morning! UPS guy normally comes in the afternoon, but my phone showed up around 9:30am!

What's strange is the tracking number says it's from "AI", but the box says "AR".
