Kind of hate those people lining up for something not for personal use but resell for profit... especially when they buy more than one:mad:

I started thinking about it though. They are going to make anywhere from $300-$600 of tax free profit for doing something that requires no discernible skill or intellect. This is the only way that these mouth breathing troglodytes can make any decent money, so it is what it is. I for one, would never support them even though I want the phone now and can easily pay the extra money; but i won't out of principle.

Inline at Fairview right now, doesn't look like they are turning people away. However I don't know what models they have
WOW THE LINEUP IS STILL GOING??
[doublepost=1509731969][/doublepost]Is it possible that the malls get more stock tomorrow or in the next few days?

Oh really? They’re still allowing people to line up now? How many people?
24ish people in front of me, the line goes back to the 2nd railing of the mall

Edit: they just told everyone that space grey 64gb is sold out, everything else still in stock

I will make sure that the next time I do not get into their trap of ordering on initial day. Instead, I will walk into a store few days/weeks later and buy what I need. No expectation, no staying awake, no frequent checking of the order status, no feeling of desparation. I just do not need this negative feeling that I'm being left out and screwed by a silly company.
No enthusiasm left in me and I have to admit that it's a soulless purchasing need anyway.
And I promisse this to myself even if they would change my delivery to Nov. 3rd.

I know how you feel, I secretly kept out hope that we'd get bumped today just like the Jet Black 7+ people were last time. I've checked my order page what feels like 250 times. At this point I'm even tired of complaining lol. Time to move on. I got a Nintendo Switch that i haven't even started playing yet because I've been following the X. I'll be making the transition starting this weekend

For those that did Telus pre-orders, do I just take my phone in store today to add AppleCare? The upgrade process didn’t give me an option to add it. Once my order was complete, it gave me the option to add the monthly AC, but I didn’t want that.

That is correct.
They can fool me ones, twice... but no more.

We are the ugly red-headed step child.

If I'm not able to reserve one tomorrow, I think that's about as bad as it can get.

Not really, if you can’t reserve one at all until your delivery date, that’s as bad as it can get.

Your comparison to concert tickets is irrelevant. That is true first come first serve based system. This is not! I'm pissed that I put in an order at 3:05AM, 20 seconds after the store became available to me, yet people in the US that ordered at 3:15AM have their phones by now or stores are getting hundreds of stock while I don't even have a shipping notification.

Nobody is stupid enough to think they are screwing us on purpose but the fact is they are prioritizing orders WRONG.

It sucks that people are feeling screwed over. One thing I haven't seen mentioned in this thread is the packaging. Ours is different than the American release. We have bi-linugal (French) paperwork included in the Canadian released phones. I would think that Apple produces based on population and in Canada we simply don't have near the population that the U.S. does so naturally there will be more stock available for them. If anything, Apple underestimated the demand for the Canadian market. So if they have a bunch of iPhone X's packaged for the U.S. without our "bi-lingual" packaging of course they will prioritize those first.

This makes a certain amount of sense. Still hard to hear about those just waltzing into places like Telus and getting one, which might actually be lower value to Apple since Telus would be selling them at the same price as Apple. It just feels like we aren't being valued.

I was trying through the app on 2 iOS devices as well as the website on my laptop. Didn't have any luck until about 3:10, when the laptop finally loaded the site (the app on my iPhone and iPad STILL wasn't working). By then they were all down to 2-3 weeks, Nov 21-28. :(

Oh well. Ordered a 256GB Silver. The 2-3 weeks will give me time to change my mind. :p
UPDATE: Cancelled my web order because I rolled into a Telus store this morning around 8:15AM, no lineup, no waiting, and was able to snag a 256GB Silver! Someone at the store I went to had a sheet with stock information that she was checking off, it looked like they got a bunch of the 64GBs but only three of the model I wanted, and I got the second of three. The store people told me there was a small lineup earlier that morning and they opened at 8AM, and almost everyone there picked up Space Grey.

I can't believe with all the crazy Apple store lines, not many people thought to try the carrier stores...

But don't you need to sign a contract to get one of those phones? Can you buy it unlocked at a Carrier store?
