is the belkin one worth it. I have a regular tempered glass, can 0.1mm size difference be worth 40 bucks more.

I really like having it. You really don't notice it so you can really enjoy the OLED screen, it feels smother than the iPhone's screen and I think it attracts less fingerprints.

Can someone confirm for me:
Currently the reserve and pick up is saying they aren't taking reservations and to check back at 6am tomorrow. A few minutes ago it was showing a 256gb SG was available in London, ON. Then it went down. I assume someone claimed the remaining stock there. Will the reserve and pick up open back up during the day as stock becomes available? Or are we forced to wait until 6am again?

So I think technically it isn't supposed to, but I was OCD last year and kept checking. Then one afternoon, BOOM!, a reservation appeared for the model i wanted, and the store, and and the time slot was in an hour. So pretty nice.

I don't think that's supposed to happen - but even this morning, if you keep checking the app, it comes and goes from that landing page telliing you to come back tomorrow, or switches to the select options.

Have you tried any of the cheaper regular ones that are not gorilla glass and thicker

Interesting. Just opened again with a 64 avail at Fairview.

Well, no need for reserve and pick up in advance.

I missed the 6 am reservation thing but was sure the Eaton has some. So I went there 9:20 and picked up mine by 10:00 am. They got plenty of stock in store. The line was ~30 ppl when I arrived.

As I said, the online reservation and pick up stock is different from the walk in stock

Think its worth it to go get in line now?

Update: I picked up my new iPhone in store successfully even though I didn’t receive the “iPhone is ready to be picked up” email. I am so happy and glad I was able to get it so soon instead of waiting for my preorder.

Good luck everyone I hope you all get your new iPhones ASAP!

Note: Masonville mall only has stock for reservation pickups, no walking. When I went to the store there was a line of people all being turned down by the Apple employees.

For those in Edmonton, I’m seeing 64GB in both colours available for pickup today, as of 8:28 MST. No luck with the 256.

Lol... these online orders are a total farce. We’re all just walking into stores and getting them earlier.

I wonder if they planned it out that way.

For shame, Apple.

If you guys want the iPhone today, you should either keep checking for reservation stock or buy one off contract from a carrier. They have plenty stock and you can pretty much get the model you are looking for with no problems. If you purchase from a carrier it is $1350, but it will be locked. E.g. if you already have a Telus plan you can use a Telus off contract phone no problem.

the way its going im not convinced they got any today
I fully believe that 99% of the apple stores didn't get any stock for this and it was just leftovers they may have had. Seems only Eaton Centre and Masonville set some aside specifically for this.

I completed my pick up before 6:01 even hit and it said unavailable, then I went to try a different SKU or something and they were all unavailable.

this is starting to feel like a world of warcraft raid.
wasted days, no loot

ya dont want a contract and i am spamming the app trying to get one but so far its gone before I complete it.

SOAB!!! There's a 64GB Space Grey at Apple Sherway Gardens but no reservation slots available today. f'ing kidding me?!

Store app not taking reservations now. Guess Apple got tired of their servers getting hammered.

if it says no res slot it was gone before it could assign you one. just mised 2 in the last 5 minutes
No - it means that there were no "Genius" available to assign for the reservation.

The phone was showing as available for a good 3 minutes. 🙁

Edit: Store App allowing people to hammer again.

So I don't know if this is worth people to know but I'll let everyone know my experience whilst reserving this morning...

1. Woke up at 6am and reserved one 256gb silver yorkdale pickup, at the time I panicked (lol) so I didn't check the QUANTITY box, so I was only able to get one

2. At 9:30am I called yorkdale, explaning my situation. The tech person there said there was nothing we can do about it

3. At 10:30am I got an email from the same tech rep at yorkdale, he told me he was able to allocate another 256gb silver that I can pick up tonight.

Result

1. I believe they are getting shipments in as the day progresses
2. At 6am I tried to use another apple account to secure the second 256gb silver, but it was too late at 6:03AM
3. Turn off your two factor authentication... Slowed process down by so much... Even though I previously logged on to the apple store website, when you reserve, you need to re-login, thus do the two factor

Hope this helps and happy hunting!
