CANADA — iPhone X — Pre-Orders and Dispatch Thread

I've cancelled my Nov 20-27 order as well. I didn't mention in case someone from Apple saw, but I got another reservation at Masonville this morning - for the 64GB SG. So, yep, as soon as I return the 256GB SG, then my 2017 launch drama is over.

I know I didn't jump on it before when I saw others post, because my thoughts were "For $1800 I'm damn well getting a new watch" - but I'll throw it out there that if someone wants this SG 256, they can have it at my cost (with or without the black silicone case).

They can PM me. I'll be returning it tomorrow or Tuesday.
Edit: You would have to drive to Kitchener and cash only - we can go to your bank - no PayPal, no cheques.

And, wouldn't you know it - iStockNow alerting me to the 64GB SG in stock in Waterloo now *sigh*

I can't get iStock to work. Both in browser and email. What type of alerts are you getting?
 
My online order 3:03 ET delivering November 21 just changed to preparing for shipment. Td my spend just alerted the full $1700 was charged to my Visa as well. Maybe it will be early?

I'll still try reserving for pickup tomorrow anyway.

Getting both e-mail as well as having the browser alerts running. Funny - never got any of the audio alerts, yet today it was dinging like mad. :) Figures it would work well once I don't need it anymore!!

I originally had all the Toronto stores, Waterloo, London, Newmarket and Burlington selected (as well as the online store). You create the notification from the Live Map.

Yes I did. What browser are you using? I'm using Safari. Maybe there's a compatibility issue.

Also just got notice of charge on my RBC Visa, order changed to preparing for shipment, date continues to show 20-27 Nov. 256 SG.
 
The walk-in stock is the same as reservation stock.

If there are any available, you're essentially 'reserving' it on-site. This is what I did on Nov 3 for my SG. Walked in to Fairview, and they said some SG256 remaining. They added me to reservation, I had to come back 1.5hr later for the reservation pick-up. Sort of like grabbing a slot on their genius bar.



When you get the Purchasing/Ordering survey from Apple, let them know how this entire Launch went. They're very good at listening to our feedback, as long as we give it to them.

Agreed. I called my local store and they said the same thing.
 
You would have to think there will be a bump in pre order shipping dates. In this thread alone a handful of people cancelled their preorder. I had 2 ordered for 20-27 that I cancelled when I was able to find one on Nov 3.

Yeah your right reservation and pick up share the same stock. Surprisedly I didn't have to wait, got the phone right away. ( Was at Fairview, pointe Claire)

My order just changed to preparing for shipment as well. Was Nov 21-28 delivery, lets hope it arrives this week along with the new Xbox One X hehe #yyc #iphonex256gb
 
Yep yep. Nov nov 21-28 order now says preparing to ship. And there is a pending charge on my credit card. Still says 21-28 though, hoping to see that change tomorrow.

64GB silver in Toronto.
 
This wait and how Apple handles the online preorders isn’t all that bad in my opinion.

I preordered galaxy note 8 on its first day and I received the phone like month after the official launch date. Their system is so much worse. The pre order bonuses, you have to register and the communication is just horrible. But then I do think it’s because we live in Canada they just don’t seem to care despite us paying so much more for majority of things.

I think we will wake up to tracking numbers. This news has me smiling ear to ear, this is going to be a great week!

if its preparing to ship im pretty sure it will arrive well before the nov 21-28 estimate. Congrats!
 
Diff. Subject: How much is Apple Care for the iPhone X in Canada?
I tought it was 249$, or 269$
went of the Apple Support Page entered my iPhone X SN and SURPRISE 299.00$ !!!!!
