I can see that some flights go from SDF to BFI (UPS982) and then go from BFI to YVR (UPS490) but the point is it doesn't look like they operate this flight everyday. That would be the reason people from Vancouver see delayed UPS deliveries.

Really depends on what flights UPS has going on....if they have enough western cargo for BC and Alberta, then it may go Ontario to Vancouver.

In the past I'm pretty sure I've seen Louisville, then Ontario, then Vancouver. But I can't seem to pull up tracking on my old phone and iPad shipments right now...
 
It really depends on whether they've been broken up into regional shipments before Louisville or not. If there's enough product for the west, then it may have been palletized that way at the factory in ZhengZhou. Then UPS just separates the skids in Anchorage and does the US Customs in each distribution centre - Ontario/Louisville.

I'm guessing they try to not break up skids before they're in the lower 49 from a security standpoint.
 
On my side, still stuck in Incheon, KR... Waiting for a new UPS99 to pull up on tomorrows schedule. My route will probably be as usual Incheon to Anchorage, Anchorage to Louisville, Louisville to Mount Hope (Hamilton), Mount Hope to Mirabel (Montreal) and finally on a truck to Quebec City.
 
Well, we've seen some really odd anomalies in UPS' tracking....so you might be surprised and suddenly see an Anchorage departure scan catch you up. 🙂 There's been a lot of inconsistencies.

I think UPS is the best of the courier companies, but you really have to wonder sometimes why their systems don't update consistently.

Yours didn't make it? Mine is in transit now on the current UPS099 flight. Departed Incheon at 0:28 today. Still won't make it to Vancouver until after the long weekend though.

Well if it made it, UPS didn't update my tracking yet 🙁 but theres probably going to be a flight from ICN to ANC tomorrow which I will be on. From Anchorage the process goes fairly fast.

I’m confused, I also got that 00:28 departure scan in my tracking but UPS99 left earlier than that, and there are no other flights. I’m thinking this is some sort of preboarding scan and we’ll actually be on the next UPS99?

Well it left Incheon at 11:22 KST so it's not that bad
 
Stupid question, how do you check what flight your phone is on? There is no progress on my package and the last arrival scan is on Nov 7 at Zhengzhou, CN.

You have to use FlightAware and look for UPS flights. Be careful with the timezones! Also, UPS's scan times may not match exactly with the flights departure/arrival times but it's most of the time pretty close.

Look for flights from ZhengZhou to Incheon, Korea and flights from ZhengZhou to Chek Lap Cok (Hong Kong)... These are the most used flights. Also, where is your final destination?

Calgary, I can't find anything leaving from Zhengzhou on Nov 8 and I am hoping it left Zhengzhou by now. Wishful thinking it comes this Friday even though my tracking say end of day Nov13.

I got a couple of emails about the Eaton Centre having stock. The first one, I just wasn’t fast enough and the second, they were only allowing pick up between 3:00 - 4:30 which is not when I could go get it.
 
Ugh. Really wishing I would have cancelled and relied on the reserve/pickup approach, as I would have had it yesterday in Vancouver.

Latest update on my shipment which was originally scheduled for delivery Friday.

  • The homepage view on UPS MyChoice teases me by still saying Friday (see first attachment)

Your best bet is to wait til tomorrow morning or so. You'll be fixed pretty soon on what route it will take if you already preordered a brand new Apple product.

My UPS updated this morning. Apple email originally quoted the 20th. UPS is giving me a delivery of the 14th. It’s currently in Zhengzhou, destination is Calgary.

Any chance this comes Friday? Or is Tuesday (14th) a done deal/set in stone date now?
