Some people say that 'no news is good news'. In the case of Apple I think 'no news' is simply that ....NO NEWS !

It's a shame this thread is slowing down a bit. I was really enjoying it. Come on Apple. Give us a bit more to talk about.

21'iMac

Just tried to by a base 21' model and its showing as £832 in the basket and 27' i7 £1507 anyone else have this?

I went to bed last night right after this thread was created with the goal of getting some good sleep and waking up to find out what happened. Well I got some good sleep but nothing happened yet! Not cool lol

It's starting to look more likely that Apple are having problems. In purely financial terms this downtime must have cost them millions already.

I know they can afford this but fatcat shareholders must be grinding their teeth a little as dividends get reduced by a few cents!

in Norway the store is back up but completely broken.
...still hopes of more than some server Thermostat going wrong ;)

Just checked Apples RSS for 'Apple Hot News' and the page has absolutely nothing at all on it. Insanely I thought I might get a clue there.

I just did a spot check

US: down
Canada: down
UK: up
Denmark: up
Australia: up (upside down)

I just couldn't wait any longer this morning so I went to best buy and bought a brand new iMac.

Sure if I waited another three hours I will get 50% more performance for the same price but I have a life and can't sit around waiting all day for new technology.

So for the next 90 minutes while you guys are still waiting, I will be enjoying my brand new apple iMac.

congrats with your new imac, Im'm sure it will make you tremendously happy for a few hours.

seriously, since the site is going up/down constantly with buggy pages and no updates, I think this looks more like something gone bad on their servers and they are trying to fix it.

Won't be too much longer before the brick & mortar apple stores are open. Someone could just go to one of those and let us know if there are new iMacs or not.

Unless they also have a "We'll be back soon" sign hanging from the door, which would be hilarious.
