However much it pains me to say it - I just cant see any major changes occurring on the same day as the All Things D interview and just two weeks before WWDC.

Apple must be busy as hell with those to throw a revamp of the Apple Store AND new product launches (or refreshes) into the mix.

What could be gained by doing this - They know people will wait and they're hoping that many wont. They still need to clear inventory after all.

I am desperate, like the rest of you, but I'm trying to be realistic to avoid bitter disappointment when the store comes up exactly the same as it was before.

You never know - it would work. In the interview Tim Cook stated that 'secrecy of products would double down. I'm serious.' And releasing either one or more Mac/product lines today would be a little wink face from Tim Cook/Apple - essentially proving his point that there have been very little rumours this time around.

Yup, that would be the ultimate, "Look how serious I am". This is what I posted on page 2 of this thread.

"I think it would be quite ironic and proving a point. Cook said last night at AllThingsD that they are doubling down on security. The store went down sometime around when the interview finished. Making a point since we haven't seen anything specific about today from the usual suspects?"

wow..this is taking really long...or its a failure or something is arriving..can't be a simple maintenance...

UK Store is down again.

(and I mean, the message with 'We'll be back soon', not just failure to load)

I just get the new "We'll be back" message on all the apple stores.

Edit: now it's just not loading again
