Canadian: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

My phone went to Louisville instead of Ontario CA as I thought it would. But if my memory serves it has gone that route before to get to Whitehorse so I'm still hopeful UPS knows what it is doing.

Any idea how UPS will ship to get it to the Western part of Canada from Louisville??

Next flights to Toronto and Hamilton will be at roughly 4:30AM tomorrow morning, arriving close to 6AM. Then will be on trucks and out for delivery. Same thing when I ordered the iPhone 5. Guess it is Apple's way of controlling early deliveries. Would make more sense in my mind to have had them in Ontario this morning to avoid possible flight delays, but I am not Apple haha. Plenty of time to get them to us. Only 1 hour flight from KY to GTA.

It is possible however that the scan was missed. This has happened many times with UPS. I have ordered other things and there is an original scan and nothing else until I receive it.
 
When we had the Apple Watch shipments, I was on the phone escalating with UPS customer service as it appeared the watch was still in Concord, ON (their main distribution hub) and hadn't moved for two days. They told me it was delayed and I wouldn't get it that week (was still on the phone when their driver pulled in and delivered my watch).

The point being is that often their tracking leaves a LOT to be desired. Pretty sure they missed the departure scan for Louisville and the phones were on this morning's flight 476 http://flightaware.com/live/flight/UPS476 and you'll all get an update with either a departure scan from Mount Hope or an arrival scan in Concorde sometime this morning.
 
MINE HAS CHANGED TO SHIPPED. But it says "UPS Processing". How can it get to Canada, Toronto within 1 day from China? That is impossible.

It can't. What were the date stamps on your tracking?

My status finally changed to "shipped" last night. Trackable on UPS now, but it doesn't say much. Just that it was processed for shipment on the 21st. Coming from Burlington. I'm in Calgary.

I've read enough threads and had enough experience with Apple to know that my 6s will deliver tomorrow regardless of what UPS or Apple says.

IMHO, "microtracking" an order is pointless. I did the "plane tracking" thing two years ago for the 5s launch and was constantly given the wrong information. I refused to be dragged into that time waster (and stress creator) again this time.

The only tracking information that is meaningful is "Out for Delivery"....tomorrow.

You'll all get your phones tomorrow or virtually all of you will. :)

Just spoke with Bell Rep and they are saying the aren't even shipping their preorders until launch day.... wtf. NEVER order with a carrier if you can avoid it..

Lisa (Bell Rep): I am sorry to say that I do not know the reason behind this delay to send the shipment out on the launch day. They were supposed to do it prior to that date, but something happened. And the only info provided was there was an issue and now it will only be shipped on the launch date.

That's the same status I have. UPS and Apple have some sort of system worked out. Look at the last status update....it's on the 21st. Today is the 24th. The next status update will be "out for delivery" (or something equally satisfying).

Trust me on this. ;)

On a positive note, I got a reminder email from Apple last night re: my reservation tomorrow at a local Apple store to pick up a 6s Plus tomorrow between 8:30 - 9. :)

The date they gave me was 25-29th.... i will be pissed if it is the 29th.

Good point!! THANKS I didn't even see that label creation date 21st hahaha
 
I'm in QC and i'm also has 'label created on the 21th' and says it's been shipped

If for w/e i get my phone today, can i go activate it today or will apple block phones before street dates?

Hmm. Well, you being in Markham, Concorde's your local hub - so you may very well not get a notification prior to it being out for delivery.
That you have a date range and not a date does make me think you may not be in the batch for tomorrow though. Here's hoping that's not the case.

You will NOT, ever get your phone before the date that Apple has UPS committed to. (short of you having nefarious friends at UPS). UPS has committed to no early shipments.
 
I'd venture to guess the flight from Lousiville to ON is only iPhones. I'd also say it's in Canada right now, but the tracking number wasn't scanned (or masked). I just got an email from UPS saying that I have a delivery coming tomorrow that I need to sign for.
