You will NOT, ever get your phone before the date that Apple has UPS committed to. (short of you having nefarious friends at UPS). UPS has committed to no early shipments.

Doesn't mather if I get it today or not, Website says 25-29 i'm hoping for the 25, i mean QC is not that far :(

Wow the same thing every year.

The iPhones aren't in Kentucky. They are already in Ontario most assuredly. They have been dispersed to each province, and they are most likely sitting in your local UPS hub to be sent to your local facility overnight, and out for delivery tomorrow morning.

YOU WILL GET YOUR IPHONES TOMORROW!

That is all. :)

My UPS tracking says delivered end of day tomorrow FWIW. Which means ~10am when my driver always shows up, waking me up.

Absolutely. If Apple says you will get it Friday, you will more thank likely get it on Friday unless there is a big problem like the Pope showing up haha.

I see UPS trucks in my neighbourhood every day at around 1PM, so I am banking on getting around that time, as they are quite consistent on routes at the driver level.

Want to explain your logic a little more here?

Not all of the phones are coming from China. It wouldn't make sense for Apple to sit on phones in China that have been ready to be shipped for the past few weeks. They were more than likely shipped to various warehouses across the world in preparation for the launch. They are then shipped to each city's hub as launch date gets closer, which is what we are seeing now.

UPS usually pass around 4PM here :( and then i have to drive about 20min to get a new SIM card for Fido, because everyone keep saying that my 4S sim won't work in the 6S

Why not pick up a SIM today?

C

Agreed. I get my SIM cards for free from a local Apple Store. And to the original poster, the SIM from a 4s does not work in a 6s. The card from a 5s does though (hence I don't need a new SIM this time around).

Ah, yep. When they actually have stock (as opposed to being woefully behind demand), we see mass shipments to distribution centres.

But, if that were the case, we wouldn't see people with full tracking from China over the last several days, would we?

You can cut your old sim card into a smaller shape and it'll work.

Got an email last night from UPS:

YOUR PACKAGE IS AT THE CLEARING AGENCY AWAITING FINAL RELEASE.

What does this mean? My package is still scheduled for delivery tomorrow. Right now it's still apparently in Kentucky. Although when I called UPS yesterday, they told me my phone is on a plane to Canada, even though the status hasn't updated. I called when I got this email yesterday morning:

WE CURRENTLY HAVE THE PACKAGE. THE RECEIVER REQUESTED CLEARANCE BY A NON-UPS BROKER.

Thoughts?

The majority if not all of the China tracking number phones I have seen mentioned are week 38's. That means they finished production last week, so it would make sense that those phones needed to make their way over from China.

The week 34-36's seem to have all originated within the US (tracking based) which makes sense since it would take roughly a week for them to ship to the US and there would have been time for that.

Have you requested any modifications to your delivery or have you just let Apple and UPS do their job?

Thoughts? You'll get your phone tomorrow, just like you've been told since the Apple song and dance. This isn't the first time Apple has sent out a new phone.

C

PS: Or else you won't, and it will come next week. You'll wake up disappointed but alive on Saturday morning, but you'll get over it... Life goes on.

Others have got this message as well, it just means that your iPhone is in a large batch currently going through customs clearance. It's possible that it's already in Canada, but not officially recognized since it hasn't cleared customs yet.

This is the first time i change phones, like that, but Fido told me that they will need to deactivate my old sim to activate the new one ,since I don't want 2 cells on 1 bill. And I need my current phone today
Sorry to state the obvious, but you could pick up the new nanoSIM today, then call them tomorrow when you have new phone in hand to have them activate it. (or, you could give them a time of day to do the switch).

I just called Fido and they said they don't do phone transfer on phone, that I need to be at the shop

they hate me :(

Fido (Rogers) hates everyone. :)

You should try someone else - like Wireless Wave, or Best Buy. Someone that has the SIM cards and won't be an ass.

Nearest Bestbuy is near the Fido shop so kinda useless for me, because even if i buy the Sim card there i'll have to call Fido and they won't help

You can also get an adapter that will let you use the new nanoSIM in your old phone till you're ready to switch over to the new one. Then you could activate your new SIM today in your old phone, and just switch it over tomorrow.

Just trying to throw some ideas out there, so you can spend tomorrow evening playing with your new toy instead of trying to get it set up.

Oh I appreciate the help but I don't see the use to buy an adaptor for 1 day

I'll just be patient and wait tomrrow, anyway i'll need to backup my current phone tomorrow and restore it on the new one i'll just go there at my launch break (if the phone gets here) if not i'll go after work

I won't die :p

I keep an adapter like this around. If nothing else, if you need to switch to your 4s as a backup phone, it can come in handy. And it's just a piece of plastic, so it's pretty cheap.

Depends really. From my experience I've seen most people with tracking from China with the 6S Plus (though I'm sure there are exceptions), which would make sense since they seem to be most in demand and sold out the fastest. They are trying to manufacture and ship as many as possible.

You can also check your the serial number on your Apple Support Profile to see when your phone was manufactured. Mine was manufactured in early September so I would wager it's been in North America somewhere for a few weeks.

For those of you that got tracking numbers today and are worried that it doesn't look like anything is happening, here's some information that I hope helps calm your nerves.

Apple is one of the best in the world at supply chain and operations, I'd place a high amount of trust in their abilities. If your order says "Delivers 25/9-29/9" then check your postal code in the "Delivery Date Information" section on this page (http://www.apple.com/ca/shop/help/shipping_delivery) to get more accurate delivery dates.

Also, it seems that some phones are coming from China and other are probably located locally in Canada. For the phones coming from China, its quite obvious since there is tracking information showing where your phone has been. Phones coming from China via are using UPS Worldwide Express Saver.

Phones that are sitting locally are using UPS Express Saver (http://www.ups.com/content/ca/en/shipping/time/service/intra/express_saver.html) which is a domestic shipping product which has a delivery commitment of "Next business day delivery by 3:00 p.m. to metropolitan areas across Canada". Although since UPS is going to be busy tomorrow they might not make the 3pm guarantee, but should delivery on the day. Since the phones are local, UPS probably hasn't touched them yet. They probably only need over night to process them and get them out on trucks to you for launch tomorrow (major metropolitan areas).

1 more sleep!
