Canadian: iPhone 6S/6S Plus Pre-Order Thread!

Finally got mine about an hour ago. Tried to restore from iCloud backup but there was already an Apple ID in there (something@yandex.com, which I gather is a Russian company). Very strange. Called Apple and they had me do a restore, which of course failed after an hour of trying. Now trying to do a second restore but have 45 minutes remaining!

I don't know what's worse...not having your iPhone be delivered yet, or having it delivered and not being able to use it!

Wow, that crazy. Was the iCloud username in there when you started the phone up? You know when it asks you to sign in with iCloud or did you skip that until you got in to the main screen and try and backup through settings? Basically wondering if it's not a new phone if someone already tried setting it up.
 
Weird, for those in Montreal, I got my 2 iPhones that didn't have time to clear this morning, but didn't receive the one that said out for delivery....

I have no idea what's going on. I did the restore and when I went to set it up again the address was in there again! It's like it's associating someone else's Apple ID with one of my iCloud backups, which is very concerning to say the least.

I ended up saying screw it and backed up from an iTunes backup that was a few weeks old. Apple is supposed to call me back at 3:30 though and I'd like to know what the heck is going on.

Are they trucking all of the Telus iPhones out from headquarters in Calgary? When did the truck leave?

It's a 14 1/2 hour drive from Calgary to Vancouver; hopefully they left early. Good luck!
 
Contacted UPS about my 2nd phone as it was still showing to be in Calgary.

They assured me it would be in Edmonton in time to make the afternoon delivery schedule and it would be at my address by "end of business hours" since it's being delivered to a office.

Checked shortly after I called and it was now showing as being in Edmonton so here's hoping!

Do you have any content in your iTunes library which is associated with or was purchased with a different Apple ID (sometimes this happens if it was downloaded from file-sharing sites)? That might be why it’s prompting you for that Apple ID's password.
 
My shipment status from Canada Post just updated saying it is in Quebec City since 8:37 AM. It is now 3:15 PM and still no phone, and it still says it is scheduled for delivery on Monday... Why do I have to wait so long if it's only 20 minutes from my home since this morning?

Edit: now it says it is in transit from Quebec City since 11:05. Still delivery date of Monday...

Yandex is the Russian version of Google. So you seem to be associated with their version of Gmail.

Any time there is anything Russian out there, probably related to fraud or a hacker.

Do you jailbreak any of your Apple devices? You may have had your Apple ID hijacked.
 
FedEx and Puralator already came by to drop off packages.... still no sight of a UPS truck, the wait is real.

It's updated to "Out for delivery" but the delivery date got changed to September 28. I am so confused.. Is it gonna be delivered today or on 28th. I've been sitting here waiting since 9am and I've finished two books already, at this point I just want to shower(knowing my luck the guy will probably come as soon I turn on the shower).

Are you in Vancouver? You'll get it today if it's out for delivery. But it'll be on the usual timeframe that ups delivers to your area. Same experience for the past few years.

Yes I am in Vancouver, it's via canadapost though (from Telus). I just hope the changed delivery date from September 25th to 28th was a system error since it's apparently "Out for Delivery."
 
Wow. Spent the whole day waiting around for this. Now it's looking like I have to drive across the city to pickup the phone?

2nd phone which started the day out in South Dakota is on truck for delivery!

Should receive it within the next two hours.

If we do I am pretty impressed with UPS this time.

I know what you mean. For the Apple Watch launch I waited at the door from 9:00 AM until 4:45 PM. It came at 4:55 PM :/

I'd honestly lean towards it arriving today. In orders from the past, I've seen apple shipping projections get extended at the last possible moment, then still make it according to the original schedule.

I dunno, I called and they said SOL Till Monday. I asked if 3rd party broker was reason and The answer I was given was the warehouse it was held at is not one where pick ups is available.
I will however try again when the status changes. I am determined to get the phone before Monday!
 
Well mine left Concorde last night at about 10:30 and just sort of disappeared. I'm about 4 hours away from there, so that truck must have taken one heck of a detour.
