Definitely still tough to swallow. If the share everything plans weren't so crappy and stingy with the data I'd consider it... but they suck. For me to upgrade it will double my monthly bill and give me less than half the data. I'd rather come up with the extra money to buy it from Apple but I'm really having a tough time with paying $1300+ for a phone.

What I do every year to get the new iPhones is :
Cancel contract and pay wtv is left : this year 327$
Pay the price of phone on contract ; 660$
Sell current iphone for 650$
Upgrade cost 350-400$ which is reasonable no ?

That's exactly my plan. Pay off my $270 tab, plus $659 for the phone which is $929. I sold my 6+ for $600 so my upgrade is $329. I'll do the same every year. It's much less of a hit on the wallet.
$330 seems awesome. The downside has to be you have to change your plan. Right now I'm on a grandfathered 10GB Share Everything plan for $60, the same now would jump to $65 and a higher overage rate. Right now for $5 more if I keep BYOP I can get 15GB, which is pretty good, keeping the overage rate the same, so I'd still be grandfathered, just more data.
I just changed my plan to the $70/mth share everything plus with 6GB of data, unlimited canada wide and free shomi. So I'm all set to go.
Yeah, the only problem I have is the overage rate of $50/GB. Other than that with Spotify it's not a bad deal.
Will i be able to pre-order on the apple store app with a 2 year contract tonight (i'm already with Bell and i want to keep my actual plan)? Or is it only for unlocked iphones?

I see rogers has posted prices, I was hoping Telus would follow but as of now nothing. I was planning on switching over to an IPhone as I own an IMac and IPad and most importantly my Blackberry Z10 has been annoying me for the last 6 months (and you can't get the good apps) but I may hold off for a while.
Even a base iPhone 6 is probably better than a z10, man I would even take a cheap android phone like a Moto g...
Already bought some accessories before hand as I've heard if you buy accessories with the phone that it may slow down shipping. Plus, It will probably be sold out after the phones go on sale.

My wife really likes the Rose Gold colour obviously however after we discussed upgrading early, we have decided to wait till the iPhone 7 comes out and upgrade then. It's just to expensive for us right now. Hopefully we can sell our iPhone 5's for an ok amount when the 7 comes out.
I'm on Rogers now, how do I get that plan? I don't see anything like that on their site.
