I like the max. I’m coming from a 12 pro and originally purchased a 13 pro. I ended up exchanging it for a 13 pro max. The first day I wasn’t all aboard, I felt like the max was huge. i Told myself I’d give it another day or two, now I love it.

I've always been a Max user because a. I like big screens 2. Max had additional camera features. I was going to keep my 12 Pro Max for another year so I did not preorder at all until fomo kicked in last week. 13 Pro Max is on backorder so I decided to downsize this time and go for the 13 Pro since Pro/Pro Max has the same camera modules this year.

I have to say -- I quite like my 13 Pro so far! I haven't really missed the big screen yet and if I do need a bigger screen, it pairs well with my new iPad Mini 6. Since I have small hands, it's super nice to have a smaller phone for once and I can actually reach control center with one hand. I can actually grip the phone better with the magsafe wallet attached too as it was a bit uncomfy on my 12 Pro Max with the added bulk. I am a bit bummed that I would be missing out on the amazing battery life on the 13 Pro Max but with my $100 savings in going with the Pro, I decided to pick up the Magsafe battery pack for "just in case" whenever I know I will be out all day. Overall, extremely happy with my decision to go with the smaller Pro this year.

I originally pre-ordered the standard size pro. Been using it since launch day and kept thinking of trying the max size. I was able to secure a pro max for in store pick up tomorrow!!! Hope I don’t regret the larger size since I have small hands.

The most impressive thing about the 13 Pro Max is it’s battery life. I am consistently able to go a good 2 days between charges. And I stick to charging my phone to about 85%. The 13 Pro Max just keeps going and going. This phone removes battery/charging anxiety. The ProMotion display isn’t just about smooth scrolling, it helps with battery life.

If you are still undecided, try the 13 Pro Max out for 14 days. If you don’t like return it for a refund. People can tell you all sorts of good things about the 13 Pro Max but until you get one in your hands you really won’t know what the fuss is all about.

Has everyone who’s had the pro or pro max done an iCloud restore, or, a data transfer from their old phone? I usually always set my iPhones up as new phones, but I did and iCloud restore this time.

This pro max is an amazing device. For anyone still sitting on the fence — I’d recommend what others have said and try the max out for 14 days. I’ve only been using mine properly since yesterday and I’ve already fallen in love with the iPhone 13 pro max. Size/weight distribution feels spot on, and the display is amazing.

For me it has always been a “does it fit in my pocket” decision. The regular Pro fits perfectly in all my jeans pockets, but the Pro Max sticks out a little in some. Also, with the regular Pro I can easily sit down and keep the phone in my pocket, while with the Max it becomes uncomfortable and I always want to take it out while sitting.

That is literally the only reason I’m not buying the Max. In every other case I would always prefer the bigger screen.

I don’t know what it is about this iPhone 13 pro max, but it ‘feels’ a tiny bit more compact than the iPhone 12 Pro Max even though it isn’t. It feels like the perfect size for me. I though it was the case making it feel that way at first, but if anything the case on this phone is a tiny bit bulkier than the case I had on my iPhone 12 Pro Max. I really like the feel of this 13 pro max.

Got my iPhone 13Pro Max today and a Kate spade case! I must say the extra large screen size makes all the difference. Going from standard size pro to the max was a good decision!

Originally got the pro but retuned it for the the Pro Max and it’s perfect for me! I don’t carry my phone in my pocket, so I can understand why that would be a dealbreaker but I’d say if you spend a lot of time on your phone (media consumption) then the pro max is perfect and well worth it!

I agree. The pro max is 👌🏼 for media consumption. And, if you can deal with the size and weight it’s definitely the one to go for.

Has anyone had a pro or pro max delivered and them changed it for the other size? Is is everyone happy with their iPhone 13 pro/max or choice?

The battery life on the iPhone 13 pro max has left me in shock lol. It’s amazing, almost too good to be true.

I was won the fence about switching to a 13 pro from 13 max but couldn’t do it. Max is to good.
I’ve been thinking the same thing. I love my iPhone 13 pro max, but I’ve still been thinking about switching to the regular pro. I think the regular pro looks very elegant and understated. I can’t switch though because I love the pro max and I’d definitely miss the bigger display.

I think it’s difficult to switch from the max to the regular size pro iPhones after you’re used to using the max version. I salute anyone who has made that switch. The only real benefits I’d get from switching to the pro is it fitting in my pocket easier and feeling more comfortable in my pocket, and, obviously the easier one handed use. I’d really miss the max version for everything else though.

"We’ll get this out of the way now: if you’re looking at the iPhone 13 Pro Max as your next phone, you surely have to know you’re getting a massive handset. And it is massive. This is not a phone for those wanting something that you can wrap a hand around or even reach a thumb the whole way across - you want screen, you want battery, and you’re ready to sacrifice the feel in the hand for it."

"Even after a year, we’re still missing the curved back of the previous iPhone models, first seen on the iPhone 6. Yes, there’s a nice grippiness to the sharper, more industrial-looking edges of the new iPhone 13 Pro Max, and change is always welcome in the world of smartphone design, but it just feels less comfortable to hold."

I have been using my 13 Pro Max for 9 days and I am about to trade it in for a 13 Pro.

The bigger screen isn’t really a thing since it does not show more content than any of the smaller iPhones while they are way easier to handle. I will probably miss the incredible battery life but I know that I really enjoyed my iPhone X or iPhone 12 Mini even though they had terrible battery life.

Already decided this way back when with the x and then 11. Yep the smaller pro sounds great. Clicks the boxes. You’ve even convinced yourself. You’ll go to it and just miss the larger screen. You know it’s more weight and bulky. You’ve already been over it. But bottom line you’re not happy with the smaller pro.

It’s even true apple could do much more with max.

But you tell that part of yourself making such a case for the smaller phone to shut the *** up and go get the max again.

Now I am reconsidering my decision, thank you. 😂

Long time lurker, hardly a poster but needed to share my experience on this thread which I have been following closely since I upgraded from my 12 Pro Max to a 13 Pro Max last week. I have had Max phones since the XS Max was released and prior to that the Plus sized phones. My main justification was for the slight improvements in the cameras and screen real estate.
Last year when I upgraded from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro Max I did notice a pretty significant weight increase which was borderline uncomfortable but I "got used to it". This year, I did a lot of research around the 13 Pro Max and weight increase and decided to upgrade to the 13 Pro Max since on paper and specs the weight increase seemed minimal.
I used the 13 Pro Max for about a week and just could not get used to the weight, however the screen is incredible. As my eyes get old I can appreciate the larger screen real estate but the weight was starting to become an issue. Balancing the phone, and my wrist and pinky got "tired".
Luckily I upgraded my wife from the 11 Pro Max to the 13 Pro and she was on the fence about downsizing but after a few days she couldn't be happier, and that's saying a lot coming from her :)
I found myself picking up her phone to make sure I could give up the screen size ... and yesterday I sold my 13 Pro Max and opted for a 13 Pro .... and couldn't be happier.
The weight is perfectly distributed, camera is just as great as the max, battery life has been incredible so far.

Hope this helps someone else in the same boat, but this is MY experience and YMMV, it's really a personal preference and sometimes you have to go and try it out to see what works and what doesn't for YOU.

Still using my 13 Pro here. Coming from an iPhone 12 Pro Max. Battery life for me is still great; the 13 Pro outlasts my 12 Pro Max in my daily use.

Reasons for downsizing: easier handling, less weight in gym shorts, no compromises on features.

Does the 13 Pro Max have better battery life? Yes. But I don't see the value in having 50-60% battery left at the end of the day before I plug in. Clearly the power reserves vastly exceed what I use my phone for. So it's pointless for me to upgrade to the 13 Pro Max. I'd rather have a phone that (for me) is more manageable while I'm on the go.

Well said.... I had an 11 Pro Max that resulted in a similar experience as yours. I've managed to snag a 13 Pro and am going to give it a week to see how that feels. The muscle memory in my hands and eyes keep wanting to feel for a bigger, heavier phone...
