I came from an 11PM but my 13PM seemed so large using the Apple silicone or leather cases. I got a Pitaka case and it’s so perfect!!! Exactly the comfort-level I was looking for. The case made all the difference for me.
Which pitaka case did you get?

I'm kind of in that boat too as far as cases. I have been using Speck Presidio cases every year since the 7 Plus, but they have really started cutting corners on those models. The result is that they're not comfortable to hold anymore. I had one on my 12 Pro Max and it was just never great. It held up just fine and protected my phone from damage the way it was supposed to, but the cheap-o molded grips and stiff button covers made it a very bad choice. (I'm more of a cheapskate with cases these days, so I just decided to grin and bear it until the next iPhone rather than buy a new one.)

The Speck situation did not improve this year in any way, so I switched to an OtterBox Symmetry+ with one of their Amplify branded tempered glass screen protectors. I can't believe this is the first OtterBox product I've ever owned. The fit and finish is phenomenal and makes me appreciate the design of the phone SO much more.

EDIT: Felt I should clarify--I'm not a cheapskate about cases in general. I just don't like buying a billion of them until I settle on the perfect one anymore.

I got the EZ Mag 2. I had the Air Case on my 11PM but found it a bit flimsier and the edges started fraying after a few months. Loving the EZ Mag 2 so far with the 13PM, it's made the experience so much more bearable, and pleasant! lol.

The Pitaka cases are expensive but they're in a different league. I end up buying a couple of various cases every time I get a new phone but always settle on the Pitaka, and end up using it the entire time I have my phone. I did keep an Apple silicone case for more active outings though!

I'm in the same dilemma however weight is a big factor; I bought a Pro Max and the apple clear case and the total weight is 276 Grams, vs my current phone iPhone 7Plus which 221 Grams so 55 Grams is quite a big difference really.

Lovely screen, Speed, battery life but the weight especially in one hand is an issue to be honest; so decided to get the Pro I think and perhaps save 40grams...

Looking at dimensions
Weirdly the iPhone 13 Pro is only 6.4 mm smaller on width and 11.5mm (1.15cm) on height than my current iPhone 7 Plus and the screen is larger so perhaps may be better off.

I’ve had the max. I do love it! But it doesn’t love me! It hurts my hands, sags my pockets, and awkward at the gym, and in 6-5”… lol
Team 13 Pro! (Unless I change my mind during the night) lol
I'm of the same opinion to be honest 6-3" albeit I'm moving from a iPhone 7Plus to the Pro Max the extra weight is around 55 grams with a case more. I'm collecting a Pro tomorrow and need to think tonight do I return...

My iPhone 13 pro max has been delivered this morning. I went with the silver/white 256gb version. I don’t really notice the weight difference. The camera lenses are much bigger though, which, I don’t mind at all.

I upgraded from an iPhone 12 pro max in graphite. When I ordered my iPhone 12 Pro Max I was on the fence regarding which colour to get. I couldn’t decide between the graphite and the silver/white. I’m really glad I went with the silver iPhone 13 pro max now, it looks stunning. I can’t wait to start using it lol. I only it’s case and screen protector this morning because I didn’t want to “jinx” delivery lol. I thought if I order the case and screen protector before my phone arrives my phone will be delayed again.

Anyway, I’m going to set it up in a minute and have a play around with it, then put it back in the box until my case and screen protector arrive.

I’m so happy that I went with the pro max instead of the 6.1 inch regular pro. I definitely wouldn’t have been able to get used to the smaller display. It makes sense to me to go with the pro max version of the first iPhone with a 120hz LTPO display.

Oh man…. This iPhone 13 pro max is absolutely perfect. I’ve never minded the notch, but if this phone didn’t have the notch it would be faultless for the people who do mind the notch.

The pro motion display feels so natural to use. And the macro camera is awesome.

Last year I had a OnePlus 8 pro for about a month as well as my iPhone and the display on that was 120hz, but it didn’t feel like this. Apple have nailed it with the 120hz pro motion display. Don’t get me wrong, the OnePlus 8 pro had a beautiful display, and it was clear to see/feel the 120hz display. It was a pleasure to use to be honest. It also felt more manageable in one hand due to it being narrow. The 120hz pro motion display on this iPhone 13 pro max is awesome though. This phone feels like a much more polished 12 pro max. I’m glad Apple decided to refine this phone instead of going for a new design. The iPhone 13 pro max feels like the phone I wanted when I upgraded last year. I feel thoroughly content now.

This is how I feel too - fully content with my 13PM

I went with the 13PM — and I’m going to upgrade every year from now on because the cost is so minuscule.

I’ve always chosen the smaller sizes in the past, but what changed my mind now was the thought that showing off designs and software prototypes will be much easier on the largest phone available. Even showing photos and videos with friends or family. Of course, this is in addition to the improved battery, ProMotion, and upgraded cameras — but those are the same on the regular Pro.

The PM just seems more immersive — like a handheld supercomputer!

Typing this on my 13PM. I actually want to exchange it for the Pro but of course there are none left in stores and shipping from Apple is the first week of November which will be passed the return date for my PM so I guess I’m stuck with it. Lol

Yea true is it really November? Why so long? Or rerun it, get a mini in the interim 😀

I’d probably go for the Max because the 6.1 already isn’t compact like my 11 Pro… so might as well go full phablet + I’ve l already used the 12 Pro Max a couple times and I’m fine with it. A 13 Mini with promotion and 3 cameras would have been the dream.

Went from the 12 Max to the 13 Pro and so far so good. My biggest reason I’ve gone Plus/Max over the years was the needed battery life. I’m hoping the regular Pro does the trick this go around.

That’s what I’m thinking as well. I’ve had a 13 Pro for a week now, but it does feel bulkier than my previous 11 Pro. I almost feel like using both hands a lot of times. I’m picking up a 13 Pro Max tomorrow and decide in the next couple of days which one to keep.

I pre-ordered 13 PM but arrival window isn’t until 10/19 to 10/26. I’m apprehensive bc the 12PM has seemed really big, heavy, and unwieldy to me after Note 20 Ultra, I think bc it is wider and heavier. Just couldn’t decide before I preordered. My plan was to try it out and then switch for 13 Pro (buy both and keep just one) if the extra weight and depth bother me but now it appears 13 Pro may not be available in a timely manner.

FWIW, I had the 12PM and got the 13PM today. It does not feel heavier IMO.. in a leather case.

You’re not stuck with it at all - return the PM now, and buy a Pro when they come back in stock

I quite like the Maxes, but I’ve got ever such small hands so it’d be no good for me, I’d end up dropping it! (Not into cases and pop sockets.) My 13 Pro is about as big as I’d want my phone to be. Size-wise I actually preferred the 5.8 inch 11 Pro.
