Carphone Warehouse Adds Four Placeholders for New 16 GB and 32 GB iPhones

I think he means the release of the iPhone, the announcement is near definite of monday but the release of the phone itself could still be a month or longer away....or next week lol 😀

I personally hope there will be lower priced 4 GB iPhone. I have the first gen 8GB now, which I got as an Apple employee, and don't typically keep enough on it to need more than 4 GB.
More importantly, I hope they'll either offer a non-3G version again, or get ATT to lower their data plan costs. I never switched to 3G because of the much higher priced data plan. $10 higher with zero text messages? $5 extra minimum for that? Crazy.
I'd be happy with a 4 GB, EDGE based 3rd generation iPhone for $99 and data plan (including text) back at $20.
My wife has the 3G and the data speed simply isn't worth the extra cash.

It does say "iPhone 32bgv3" meaning 3rd version. I would think by seeing this in the system of a place like Carphone Warehouse that the release is going to be sooner, rather than later. I SERIOUSLY doubt a Monday release, but I think a June release for hardware is more and more likely. And an even higher chance of a 3.0 release on Monday though. Let's cross our fingers...
Bolox! I've been checking systems at work almost everyday for a month now and the one day I don't check it appears!
Interestingly last year there was no product code set up for the 3g iphone until a week after it was announced so this either means that somebody must of set it up early by accident (unlikely) or the code has had to of been set up to start the processes involved in the inventory system which MIGHT mean it could be coming sooner than we thought! 😀

If true this suggests a release soon... Possibly at or just after WWDC... I know, pure speculation, but what the hey.... That would be so COOL! I'm just preying O2 will give me some kind of deal as i've still got 6 months left on my 3G contract! :-(

Yes. No reason to believe that they wouldn't be. I have an account with a discount because of where I go to school, and I have to go to the AT&T store to upgrade mine.

Got a 16GB here, but would settle for a 8GB if it comes with all the features of the 32 version 😀
If one believes this, one is led to the conclusion either that there will be no 4GB, 8GB models, or that Carphone Warehouse won't be carrying them. Which is more likely?

I seriously doubt the iPhone will be released on monday or anytime during WWDC. Possibly the end of June if anything. Apple likes to create hype, as well as PR ... Oh yea and also have commercials ready. Remember last year we were getting tons of images of Apple closing down the flagship store to make the 3G commercial that was shown at WWDC last year. There have been no signs of a commercial or spottings for one. Maybe they plan on doing something at the Apple Camp for a Commercial this year for the new version.

I'd like to see a 4gb model. Sure a 16-32gb is way more nice, but some (I) just can't afford the extra memory and therefore a 4gb would fit me great.
I do have 80gb music on my MacBook but don't need to carry it all with me, thats why I have a iPod Classic - which I'll sell in case of buying a iPhone this year.

Seriously though, if this really is on the CPWH system it is the best evidence of new hardware so far. It could be fake though. And as the OP says, it could be speculation on the suppliers part
I'm not liking the bottom HP jack, but that's just me. Anyone have any pros to a bottom jack?
If thats the case I'll be pissed because I don't want to spend another $50 on a new Otterbox case with the headphone and power buttons having switched places.
Still, I wonder if Apple keeps on the current 8GB for $129. Then whatever AT&T decides to do with data plans.
Hopefully the side button is a voice command prompt key.
