Im not sure why carephone warehouse would place something on their system purely on speculation?? and if they did , surely it wouldnt be so detailed in terms of model, colour and sizes.

This is the company who have been swearing blind to customers that there is NO new iphone.

Ill take a 16GB black please :D

Well actually time is relative.
I would explain if I had more time!

Seriously though, if this really is on the CPWH system it is the best evidence of new hardware so far. It could be fake though. And as the OP says, it could be speculation on the suppliers part

Having used the system for 11 years I can tell you that picture is not fake :) and normally CPW don't set product codes up for something that doesn't officially exist. :D

Interesting... I don't know how I feel about the headphone jack on the bottom. Very iPod Touchish.... There is the original earpiece slot, and another one above that....what for??? Looks pretty legit though. (and by legit I mean rad)

I like the headphone on the bottom. I think it was a poor design fault placing it on the top. was begging to get a drop of rain inside it.

Agreed. Also the cable from my headset is constantly in the way of my screen making it hard to see things clearly. The touch's bottom jack is much more user-friendly in my opinion.

Yup, I prefer the bottom of the phone for the headphone jack.

Looking at the back though.. Looks like there is no flash for the camera?

Not sure I like the idea, wont fit well in jeans with the adaptor pointing down:confused:

I always put my iPhone in my pocket with the earpiece at the bottom, except when I'm listening to music, then I put it in with the earpiece at the top (with the headphones). If they switched it, then I wouldn't have to do it differently. haha....I'm slightly OCD.

without doubt,

At the risk of being bashed, I also think the pin idea for the sim card is a little fragile as well. I hope they slightly develop this to make it a little more user friendly. I obviously like the idea of everything being contained and hidden , but that pin is easily lost and then its a matter of poking a paper clip inside a £300 unit trying to fiddle the drawer open. - just seems a bit on the poor side for apple.

but surely it would just be a matter of turning the phone upside down ?

I mean if they were to be really clever then could put the connector and headphone on the same edge and if the headphones were plugged in, the screen could flip , so top would then become bottom. (just a suggestion)

Hmmm yeah, maybe

Here in Florida, many of us enjoy the music of Jimmy Buffett. I was just thinking about one of his songs... "Come Monday, it'll be alright. Come Monday, I'll be holdin' you tight..."

The song takes on a whole new meaning if Schiller utters the words "and they're available today."

if you start believing that, then your setting you're self up for a broken heart

Providing this is a legit photo, of which i have no reason to doubt, it pretty much confirms the rumors.

Release next week sounds possible the way the current 3g is being phased out, but from a business point of view and July release is best.

I went to my local Carphone Warehouse today.

I was told by one very excited seller that he's just sold his iPhone because they're getting a new shipment in soon. When I asked if he's seen it he said, no. But a few covers and sleeves for the new phone is to be expected within the next two weeks.

What he DID tell me was that they're going to offer the 'current' models at a special sale offer to get more O2 customers in on the deal.

Unfortunately the stock is now very limited so it's going to be one of those ridicules situations where people who know people working at O2 will get a chance to pick up a 2G iPhone for I don't know how much, but cheaper than it is today. It's just for new customers, not old.

I considered buying one, but they won't be offered as Pay as you Go only Monthly payments contracts. So.. that's a bit useless for me. At the moment I'm stuck at Vodafone. So I need it to be Pay as you go and then I can upgrade later.

I am pretty much set on moving back to AT&T since the network is a little stronger in my area then Sprint's. I have had too many dropped calls inside my office using Sprint and going outside just to use the phone isn't always convenient.

This will be my first iPhone and I am patiently waiting on the new model (white, perhaps?) and 3.0 software which I guess Apple will charge $9.95 for the iPod Touch.
