AppleInsider reports that UK authorized iPhone distributor Carphone Warehouse has added four new iPhone "V3" entries to its inventory system covering 16 GB and 32 GB models in both black and white.

Entries in resellers' inventory systems should typically taken with some skepticism, as such additions are frequently made on a "best guess" basis without any inside knowledge of future product releases. In some cases, however, as in last week's case of an entry in Best Buy's system preceding the release of the updated white MacBook, such changes to inventory systems can not be entirely discounted.
Increasing reports of iPhone 3G shortages and rumors of third-party manufacturers already shipping parts for the next-generation iPhone certainly point toward the release of new iPhone models in the near future. Previous reports from Boy Genius Report and Engadget have pointed to iPhone capacities as low as 4 GB, ostensibly in an effort to offer lower-priced models, while others such as this most recent report have suggested that Apple may continue offering only two different capacities.

Having used the system for 11 years I can tell you that picture is not fakeand normally CPW don't set product codes up for something that doesn't officially exist.

Nothing on this image indicates that this really is Carphone Warehouse. In fact, anyone reading this forum right now could create a computer screen like that and take a digital photo of it. I think I'll enjoy my weekend and come back to MacRumors and see what Apple has reported on Monday. I hope the rest of you enjoy your weekend. Oh, by the way, thank you guys for letting us know that the new iTunes was released a few days ago. MacRumors has good news, and I can't wait to come back on Monday after enjoying my weekend and see what MacRumors has for Monday.

Ah well, this just adds to the tumultuous amounts of evidence that we already have of a possible iPhone release within the near future. I'd say the probability of Apple making such an announcement at WWDC is up there -- I'm sure they're just waiting for Steve to make the big announcement. What a comeback, Steve's first appearence back at Apple AND he's delivering the new 'Jesus' phone. You go Steve! -- that's the effect they're going for.
Today I went to the AT&T store to get the MMS flag off of my iPhone for the 3.0 B5 software. So I was there and a group of people and the CEO of the ATT was there as well... The store wasn't too lively today and packed to it was just them me and another guy. When I was there I over heard the group of workers and the CEO telling the employes how to take care of the new iPhone and how to set up the new device. I over heard them talking about a 32 GB and a 16Gb models of the iPhone and they will all be black on the display same as now. She said that there will be apps everywhere and video's etc.... With this iPhone you will still need to activate it at the store.... same deal as the iPhone 3G. It will not be like the 1st iPhone..... They said that there will be a good price range. She said that the new device will also be capable of doing OTA!!!!! Finally!!!! But one problem....... Jailbreakers beware. She said this OTA will be auto to make the towers not screwed up.... So everyone is on the same OS so the towers are all sending out the right amount of data etc..... The back will be a plastic. She said the dock will also be bigger..... *Cough* Does this mean... EVEN BIGGER?!?
Well, I want to believe you, but I find it hard to believe the AT&T is already discussing this with their employees. If this was the case, I would expect to hear more chatter from Apple Store employees, as well as, other AT&T employees.
So did they add MMS to your plan?
Just spoke with AT&T.........no dice on adding MMS to the plan yet.
They're automatically rolling all iPhones into a MMS capable package. You won't have to do anything.
Filming new adverts perhaps????I was walking around at about...well it was too late for anything to be happening at the Apple Store. Strange that they would do anything in the Bethesda store, but who knows. I could see lights on, but they did in fact have the same black sheets blocking the windows, same as when they released the iPhone and such. I was kinda weirded out, it was really late. It was May 28th, early am. And i went back on the 30th and nothing changed...nothing that i could see at least. Never really thought anything of it until now. Just adding this to the discussion.
Filming new adverts perhaps????
So would this theoretical white iPhone V3 be flat-white, just as the black one will be (or is heavily rumored to be) flat-black?
I would think flat white would really pick up stains quickly, just like the palm rests on a white MacBook do. And yes, I know the palm rest is more off an off-white/gray but the point it is shows dirt much more readily than the glossy white outer shell for example.
