This thread is for the U.K. orders for Carphone Warehouse.

Let’s all have a chat in here on Dates, Times, models, emails etc.

I ordered mine at 08:45 and got the confirmation email at 08:51 on Friday 27th

I have spoken to them a few times and they are continuously telling me delivery is for the 3RD

Let’s hope

What about you guys?

I ordered mine from CPW at 11:30. All X models where still showing delivery for 3rd. I received a processing email but no confirmation email. I telephoned on Sat morning to be told the payment hadn’t went through. They tried again and it did. I received my confirmation email several minutes later. I asked on the phone when my order could be expected. They maintained it would be the 3rd.

Personally I think it will be a miracle if it arrives on the 3rd!

Ordered online about 8:20am 256gb Silver, confirmation email immediately and then the 2nd order update/accepted email around midday. Spoke to them and they say the 3rd, money was taken that day but not sure at what time..
Genuinely have no idea whether to expect it on Friday or not!

I’ve ordered the same, 256GB Silver, SIM Free. Thy wouldn’t let me get it delivered to my home so had to choose a store, which I thought was a bit perculiar.

I chose to have it delivered to my local store, never actually tried to have it delivered home with no guaranteed time as odds are i wouldn't be in! Also thought maybe having it delivered to the store might somehow make it be delivered quicker:rolleyes:

My biggest fear is the fact CPW stock levels will not be as big as they are claiming. On the phone they said stock levels where gonna be much better than previous iPhone releases and this was the reason they where still accepting orders - even that late in the day.

Either that’s all true or they are lying gits!

Email later from them asking to confirm Direct Debit details (unsure why!?). Called and told it’s due to payment being checked by bank, but had already confirmed this by text with them. Told delivery 3rd.

Yesterday called and chat in live chat - 3rd

Today - live chat; 3rd. Then called; 10th. The tweeted; 10th. Then live chat; 3rd. Twitter 10th. Live chat; 3rd. Called; 3rd.

Living in hope for 3rd haha

Haha worse than me. Good luck mate, did you order sim free or contract, seeing as they asked for bank details.

Lol he's clearly lying, there's no guarantee as your order email clearly says "expected delivery date is 3 November 2017", it doesn't say "guaranteed delivery date is 3 November 2017"

So your order could be delivered on Nov 3rd, but there's no guarantee, so it can also be delivered later.

Ordered 256gb Space Grey at 09:55 and got a confirmation email straight away, saying it’ll be delivered to store on the 3rd. No option to have it delivered to my home address, which I thought was a little odd.

Got a second order update email (when they took payment) at 12:44.

Phoned today and was told it looked like delivery would be on the 10th.

Ah that’s crap, I had the same with only store pickup. Why did they say the 10th, what did they say? Did they mention anything about fulfillment or delivery date.

It's looking like they're just going off what their website says, the SB is the 10th and silver 3rd, although the Silver 256 has since changed to the 10th if you go off what their website says. Was the 3rd when i placed the order for my 256 silver

Ordered and got my first confirmation email through at 8:31am, originally placed my order for the Space Grey 256GB but however today had change of heart in the colour and rang this morning at 10:30am to ask if it was possible to change this to the Silver 256GB. Confirmed on the phone and through web chat this was done and I did not lose my 3rd Nov delivery date. Now the waiting game happens to see if they live up to expectations. Tbh CPW have never let me down.

I originally ordered from Apple at 08:07 but got 13th - 20th date

Ordered a 64GB Silver from CPW at 09:10.. due date 3rd

I didn’t get the 2nd email so I called and they had to manually push my payment through. Confirmed a number of times it would be delivered on 3rd.

2nd email came through at 8pm..

Not convinced I’m going to get it on the 3rd though.

Hate to rain on your parade buddy but I highly doubt you’ll get it on launch. I also done the change yesterday a but as of around 6:00pm last night the bloke over the phone said the Silver 256’s were now the 10th and I all they had left was 64GB Silver for launch.

Ordered 256GB Space Grey from Apple at 8:10am but got 2-3 weeks/13th-20th delivery.

Ordered same model from CPW at 8:23am, got acknowledgement stating 3rd Nov delivery, second 'order accepted' email through at 12:50 same day. Phoned them later that afternoon to question the 3rd Nov delivery that was still showing on the website, they said as far as they can see from their system delivery will be 3rd Nov. Not too convinced but fingers crossed.

I dont particularly mind waiting till the 10th either tbh its still better than Apple's 5-6 week dates, if I get it then cool if not then I will either wait it out or try see if I can get it through different ways... I'd rather wait though as CPW has already held my money

Ordered a SIM free around 07:45 for instore pickup on the 3rd. Then they called me in the early afternoon for the deposit contribution offer - I went for £964 up front with £20pm for 20GB with Vodafone on a 12 month contract (basically their sim only tariff). With their £25 deposit contribution that’s basically £939 for the 64GB X. For delivery on 3rd.

For the online order I got the first email at 07:53 and the second processing email at 10:10 on Friday. Payments for both went out yesterday around 11am.

I rang this morning about the phone order as I have no email or other confirmation. Was told my fulfilment date is 3rd.

Curious whether I,lol also get my 15% discount on that SIM price as I’m already a Vodafone customer and apparently the contract will be with VF. If I do, then it’ll be £17pm which is actually 54p less than I’m paying right now for my 8GB sim only on VF :)

I thought SIM Free was completely without a contract so just a phone?

My first one was a sim free.

Second one was because I’d put £25 deposit down so CPW adds £25 on top against any upfront cost.

for CPW their list of contracts includes what are sim free phones which get a discount when you sign up to a sim only contract. So only 12 months, same price as I was going to pay anyway, *and* the phone is discounted (to £964), *and* it qualifies for the extra £25 off

64GB SG X pre-ordered at 10:30am in store. Free £25 gift card for visiting store.

Estimated delivery 3rd.

Last year Carphone were terrible for falsely promising delivery dates on the 7 and keeping customers in the dark (no emails or updates), but they did offer £20 store credit as an apology when asked. Unfortunately CW’s tariffs are far cheaper than upgrading through the carrier.
