What about startup time? Do you have to wait long from switching on ignition before carplay is fully operational?
Does anybody have any news about carplay2air firmware update??? Today is 29th November...
I mentioned the new V2 version of the U2W Carlinkit 'activator' - well, according to their Facebook page, this isn't new hardware (as I assumed) it's simply the massively new updated firmware - which solves a whole stack of issues including connection stability, song name/track title display, etc.
and I quote:

Hope this is the same update for the CarLinkit as they also told me a big update coming. I’m not suspecting, both these look identical that they are actually the same device.
Hopefully this fixes for me, as mine has never worked yet. All they said on WhatsApp was a big update coming late Nov or Dec.

My understanding they aren’t the same thing. Plus carplay2air seller stated Nov 22 to 29 nov. but it’s been crickets with them. I have been emailing for over a week with no response. He’s basically gone dark.If Carplay2air and Carlinkit are the same thing (bar branding) then according to the information I have (and posted above) the new firmware will be on or before 9th December.
I am about to do the same thing. This works once in a while. Not dependable at all.So, although my unit seems to be working ok with the occasional glitches ,, if the seller doesn’t respond by end of week I will be making a claim with my CC company to get my money back.
Change your mode to 3.I'am using a 2019 Seat Arona. Carplay2air isn't working for me. Somehow it can connect but on the screen I see nothing / only some garbage and it keeps saying 'connecting'.
Somehow sound is working / I can play for example spotify and then music is going through my car speakers but nothing more is working.
I tried all modes / reconnects / reboots everything but it always is the same.
Tried contacting the seller and after 2 mails he stopped answering.
You can’t. You need to wait for the seller to send it after you repeatedly keep asking. I’ve emailed 3 more times and no response. I’ve officially put a claim in on my credit card.can someone tell me from where I can download new firmware?
Undo everything. Remove the CarPlay setting in settings on iPhone. Remove the Bluetooth. Reboot phone. Unplug dongle.Tried that already.. nothing changed? did reboot everything tried multiple reconnects in mode 3.. (all modes btw) but I cannot get it to work.
