I'm noticing a battery savings with the stock weather app on my AW3. I'm definitely holding a charge longer. I still get CARROT weather alerts via the watch even with the app not installed on the watch - which is what I only care about. So this seems to work for me. CARROT seems to be working fine on the phone - minus the rain warnings (but has only happened twice recently).

Edit: lol - now the stock weather app is reporting different weather than the stock weather app on the iPhone. Ugh. I think I'm going to give up on weather on the watch.

Edit: Went back to CARROT on watch. 8 degree difference between what watch says on complication and what the CARROT app says on phone AND watch say. ???

I feel your pain. This sounds like the sort of problem I was having with Apple Weather, Dark Sky, and BeWeather2 while on the public betas for 11.1-.3. It eventually became that Apple was accurate and consistent and Be was off, not updating, not tracking location, and different between the watch and phone.

Lovely, I stopped getting notifications that there were new messages on here.

Looking into the issues reported with the complication not updating, it seems to be tied to the latest App Store version - but shouldn't be affecting users in the latest beta seed as those changes were never pushed to the beta channel.

Woohoo he’s alive!!!! Hope you and your family are ok. :). I am not sure what it is but I noticed it was happening to stock Apple Weather too. So possibly 11.3 related ? A reinstall to the watch fixed CARROT for me for now.

Glad to see you’re ok and still around.

Has anyone experience the watch complication not updating location the past couple of days? It seemed to work flawlessly up until Wednesday....

I just found this searching for a thread on what happened to Carrot. Same story: loved the app until a few weeks ago; now it's not reliable enough to use. The developer needs to address this ASAP.

EDIT: I now see that the developer has responded to this thread. Hopefully this issue will be resolved quickly.

It should already have been resolved with this past week's update. If you're having issues, just restart your watch and phone. If you're still having issues after that, best thing to do is send in a support ticket so I can see the details of your setup.

Yep, the update has been perfect for me. Carrot is back on my watch/phone. As an insignificant meatbag, I suffered the consequences of removing CARROT from my phone. It was bad.

Great, thank you. I’ll try this. I had temporarily switched to a different app once Carrot became unreliable but was hoping this issue would be short-lived.

I uninstalled the watch app and reinstalled Carrot, but to no avail. The watch app still only updates when I go to the iPhone app while the watch app is open. Will do the support ticket as mentioned above.

Same. I reinstalled mine yesterday afternoon and that's the weather it shows right now. Oddly, the complication seems to have updated, but the Watch app hasn't.

Are you both using the premium subscription?

(That's one of the annoying things about tracking down these bugs, there are many different combinations at play here, plus latent system bugs, so figuring these things out isn't much fun :p. For future readers of this thread, best thing to do is file a support ticket since that includes most of the diagnostic info I need.)

I've had a weird problem with the weather on the watch. I noticed it the first time on May 11th & then again yesterday & today. It's done this at least 4 times today :).

I noticed this yesterday as well - are you using Weather Underground as your data source?
