Mac Case

http://mac-case.com/Leather Site/MacCasePLiPadFolio.html

I bought a flight jacket for my MBP 15. It has a front pocket just for the iPad. I also bought an iPad folio for when I just have the iPad with me in the hospital. Expensive? Yeah. But you have to admit - it's serious eye candy!!!!

If I could find a medic or messenger bag with a similar finish, and at the same price :)....I'd be very happy.

I'm a student...about to graduate. That has some relevance in that a while ago, I needed something to carry books to class. So, I bought a wicked looking Demon Hunter laptop/messenger bag. I've since been informed all of my class material will be firsthand experience, and the need for books, and by a large extent, book carrying bag...will be unnecessary. But it worked great keeping my little notebook and iPad in good condition. Especially in ceramics class where there was dust everywhere.
That all being said...a full sized laptop bag has worked well for me.

I think in order to carry an iPad comfortably you need to understate it and have a bag or a huge jacket pocket.
Getting one of those cases that look like a book might be a bit too much but a black-ish back case should help, I prefer to disguise it so it doesn't look like I would have Jesus in my hands every time I pull it out.
Having a place to put it besides your hands is essential, I keep holding it between my arm and my chest, it usually works when you have a Trench on or a wider Jacket, a murse or any kind of bag or backpack should help you pull it off.

My husband got the Waterfield iPad Wallet and is VERY happy with it

Room for his iPad1 in a Piel Frama case (or a pocket for his iPad naked) a pocket for his wireless keyboard, and his charging cords. He loves it. Also

iPad Wallet

This is interesting. I just sort of... hold it. Admittedly, I don't go out in public much with it, but if I just need to run into the store or something and I don't want to go through the trouble of hiding it in the trunk... I just hold it.

And of course at school, I have a backpack so that's not an issue.

Does anyone know who makes this messenger bag?

I ordered the Waterfield Design Ultimate Sleeve.

I think it looks very sleek. It's fitted for the ipad, it has a micro fiber face that cleans the ipad, it has rigid protection woven into the fabric and it doesnt look like a purse or a bag so to speak

I also hear good things about bags from Tom Bihn, reports of products lasting 7 years.

I have the Waterford Ultimate Sleeve, and I really like it! Good protection and I take it with me to work everday. Sometimes I'll even take it with me to the local watering hole. I'll have a drink and watch the news, or the ballgame on the MLB app.

I've have one of their briefcases for my work laptop. Also fits my iPad and lunch in it quite easily. I also see they've got some iPad sized messenger bags as well as sleeves/covers.

Very high quality product from them. Sturdy as heck! Read up on some of the "Our Story" link, good stuff. 5 star!

My iPad just goes in my backpack in the same pocket as my laptop.

I just recently asked my girlfriend to make a sleeve for me after reading a thread about someone making their own.

I got an STM Alley bag today and it's awesome! Holds my MBA and iPad perfectly with a separate cell phone pouch on the strap and room for chargers papers magazines ect.

really great bag!

It's "new" in the sense it hasn't been used. but my bag was made in 82 (and smells like it) so I gotta work on that. But that aside it's real, nice and rugged leather. The snaps/clips are durable. It's not too big either. Going by the dimensions it should fit the iPad well but since I won't have my iPad till end of this week at the earliest, I won't know 100% until I get it. I'm not sure what I would put in the map portion yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something useful.

You really can't get more manly than a military map case.

This bag looks great. I'm surprised no one else has posted about it. How do you like the bag so far? Did you manage to get the smell out? Is the bag actually dark brown like in the picture? Also, how much was shipping? This really seems to be one of the better looking bags I've seen in this thread.

Thanks.

They all look like purses to me

My Journeyman messenger bag from Copper River Bags is scheduled for delivery today. I'll post a review and some photos, likely after I get a chance to use it over the weekend.

Did you ever get a chance to post some pictures?
