These bags seem cool very well made IMO. They're made in the USA and a portion of their sales also go to charitable organizations!!!

Wow that is a nice looking bag. Looks like something my great great great great grandfather had when he was (hypothetically) a blacksmith and kept his tools in there and it got passed down from generation to generation. Sadly I have the same question as someone else did and what's the difference between the two? All I could tell is the voyager has holes in the straps that are on the flap and it has a false bottom to hide a passport or something--I guess if you're mugged and they just want what's in the bag and not the whole bag they wouldn't see it? I sent them an email to elaborate. They just seem too similar to me.

(edit)
Well I heard back from them. The only difference is the voyager has different front straps and a false bottom. Now that I know that I have no idea which I'm going to choose, but I think I'll be getting one of these, though.

(edit2)
I just bought the brown voyager bag. Says it could take up to two weeks to be made, which I guess is still faster than some shipping estimates on the ipad... I'll post a review if I remember in a couple weeks.

Anyone that has ordered one of the Copperiverbags, I would love to see pictures and a real world review. They look really cool, but I am a little hesitant. Thanks in advance!

Today is 7-days after my initial order, so it may ship any day now... at this rate, it might beat my iPad 2 (still no movement on my order placed at 12:51am PST March 11).

I'll be sure to post some photos and write up something about it once it arrives.

Thanks. I really appreciate it. I am still waiting for iPad 2 myself!

+1 on the Waterfield Ultimate Sleeve - it's got plenty of padding for the iPad with nothing frilly about it. You can take it as a plain sleeve or when ordering add D-rings, strap and an attachment pouch. I preferred the plain sleeve. Easy to transport alone or throw into a backpack/case when I need to travel with other things.

+ 2 on the Waterfield sleeve. I really like these (leather bottom, flap, horizontal, strap (the works) ). I'm also happy they make these for just about every Apple device.

Actually , I have one of these already (for the ipad one) that I got off ebay , but it's vertical and doesn't have the strap, so I may get one with the strap. Don't know.

These cases are very masculine. The only 'more masculine' bag I could think of would be the Army Navy stuff , which is a good idea as it's cheap . Of course desert camo gets a bit tired in Wisconsin :D

Really?!?

Another one of these threads?!?

I am very surprised how many "Men" here on MR who are so insecure with their own manhood.

Yes we are. And you know why? It's because about %50 of the male population is now gay! :D Which is great!, but it puts us manly-men/HE-men on guard :D Rrrrrrrr

I just got this delivered today:

It's "new" in the sense it hasn't been used. but my bag was made in 82 (and smells like it) so I gotta work on that. But that aside it's real, nice and rugged leather. The snaps/clips are durable. It's not too big either. Going by the dimensions it should fit the iPad well but since I won't have my iPad till end of this week at the earliest, I won't know 100% until I get it. I'm not sure what I would put in the map portion yet but I'm sure I'll come up with something useful.

You really can't get more manly than a military map case.

Makes me laugh how many "Men" are so insecure about their manhood in this thread XD

Personally, I think it is a highly American mentality ( I am born and raised in the the US by US born and raised US citizens/parents, BTW). You go to many places in Europe and Asia and you will many men wear a bag to carry stuff. Heck, I love mine when I am with my boys and they hand me their electronics, I am not figuring out how I plan on carrying all this stuff.

I also like to carry a lot of stuff myself... iPad, BT keyboard, wallet, two cell phones (work and personal), business card holder, point and shoot camera, ... I th ink you get the idea. :D I used to always wear cargo sty le pants so I could keep all the crap in them, now I can wear whatever I want.

Heh I'm not the only one that has an ensemble of cargo pants for that reason. :) At a minimum my pants need to have that side pocket on the leg so I can put my phone there. That all changed when I started to get into photography and needed to carry all my photo stuff with me. Have several size bags for various amounts of stuff I want to take with me.

...Still waiting for the copper river bag. Just noticed it's 7-14 BUSINESS days, not one to two weeks. So looks like I'm waiting another week, can't wait though.

According to an email from them, mine was expected to ship yesterday which would have been exactly two weeks from my order date (although I have not received any shipping confirmation from them yet). I'm hopeful that it did go out and, depending on how it was shipped, it will be here by Saturday.

Anyone get their bag from copper river yet? Received a reminder email last saturday, but I ordered a few days after the ipad came out. If someone else ordered sooner they may have received it by now.

Not sure if anybody already mentioned it but I really like my STM "Pad Jacket". As a laptop bag it has just enough room for my iPad, stand, and glasses, and even my bluetooth keyboard sticking out the side pocket if I'm really pushing it. It also works as a sleeve if you take the strap off.

I bought my Fiance this bag for christmas and he loves it. He works for Boeing so its more professional than the backpack he was carrying before. He uses this bag for just about everything. He uses the main compartment for lunch and ping-pong stuff while his ipad fits in the little pouch in front of that compartment and he can still carry his MBPro in the back if he wants. When we go the mall or something he carries the iPad in its smart cover or before with the apple case when he had his first gen. He says real men carry their iPad by itself. He was just kidding I think.

Check it out, its a great bag. Anything Tumi made is really good quality material and made.

I of course use a purse that can carry my ipad, make-up, sunglasses + case, eye glasses + case and solution for contacts, wallet, iphone, gum, business cards + holder, ipad charger + usb cable... tums and sometimes Advil. Yeah, I am prepared. I love being a girl.
