I've had mine since mid-December with no signal issues at all (keep in mind I've never had these issues where I live). Also I've taken it on and off several times with no scratches. I even dropped it on to stone tile 4 ft high with no damage to the phone (minor nicks to the case though).

I really like this case and I've seen the other aluminum cases on this forum and think this is the best one. The buttons and switches are a really nice touch rather then just cutouts to access the controls. It really makes the case seem like it's part of the phone rather than another case.

I have numerous damn cases and this one trumps them all.

Thats why I like this case so much. It smooth, clean finish is so Apple like. It feels and looks like something Apple would sell if they were to build aluminum style bumpers. :)

I'm LOVING this case! It's well machine, great fit, and looks classy. The buttons are the perfect finishing touch-- recessed buttons have always prevented me from purchasing an aluminum case in the past. The case adds a little weight but it's nothing extraordinary. My coworker has the Vapor and that thing feels like a brick!

Also, I have a LuckyLabs white carbon fiber skin in the back (although the picture doesn't really show off the texture) and I was afraid the Jett would look too tacky by leaving a large space. Definitely not. Still looks very sleek and classy.

Does anyone else notice their button side does not snap as tightly as the long side with the SIM tray? It's not a big deal, just wondering if this is a unique issue or if everyone experiences the same small difference.

Edit 1: I'm trying to post pictures of the Hunter Green case I got but I keep getting an error about having multiple windows/tabs open. If I figure it out I'll post pics. Personally, green is my favorite color and I really like the way this shade turned out on the phone.

EDIT 2: Also, here's a coupon code. I think they can be used more than once. CM12-CH20 It's good for 20% off and says it's valid for only 30 days. Don't know if that's time from shipment (Jan 20, 2011) or from first use. Good luck!

Thanks!

Coupon code works! :) Will get the black one.

Yes I noticed that side isn't as tight as the other side. Its not like a gap where you can see through it, but if you squeeze it, you'll notice it's not completely flushed in the middle. I'm sure its because of the buttons taking up that space and cutouts causing that. It's not noticeable unless you specifically point it out.

Hope you'll be able to post your pictures.

Hey whats the 20% code?

Thanks

20% is not big money. You need to check Alibaba, Aliexpress, SWS , NonameChina and many other business selling for less. Casemate may be buying this OEM in Shenzhen so you can buy direct from factory and save big money. We in Hong Kong no spend such money on any case. Maybe money you saving can take your best girl out for lunch. Hope you lucky

Black looks good! Still wish they'd have a silver. I think that would look really slick. I'm still getting problems posting pics on here- any suggestions? I have a Hunter Green case I wanted to post pics (I guess if no one cares it doesn't matter) and also speed test results.

Interesting note on speed test: (All tests had 4 bars of service)

With case @ 13:26- Ping 386ms, DL 1.54Mbps, UL 1.2Mbps
(avg DL ~1.3Mbps)
W/Out case @ 13:30- Ping 315ms, DL 2.31Mbps, UL 1.24Mbps
(avg DL ~1.5Mbps)
With case @ 14:04- Ping 390ms, DL 2.43Mbps, UL 1.23Mbps

So it seems likes initially the case reduces signal strength but once it adjust the signal strength is equal and maybe even a bit stronger. I also put the "averages" meaning that the values I listed are the maximum values I found, and the "averages" were what I normally got. The biggest variation seems to be the ping speed, which will minimally effect performance and probably isn't noticeable to the average user.

Different browser

Have you tried a different browser? Cleared your cache or cookies for MacRumors? I can't figure out why it won't upload and that too many tabs error... Never seen that before.

....agreed - the black does look awsome!!! They do have a silver version - well, to be honest, its not really silver, more like a gun-metal grey version but in some light, it does kinda look silver-ish!!

To those of you who think the QC issues have been sorted out, you might want to think again.

(History recap: my first case didn't fit at all. My 1st replacement case fit perfectly, but killed my reception. Case-Mate sent me a 2nd replacement case last week which they said should not have any reception issues.)

I received my 2nd replacement case (3rd case overall) this past Friday. The top and bottom pieces were completely different shades of grey - one was a dark graphite grey (almost, but definitely not, black), and the other was a lighter gunmetal grey. Also, the headphone jack cutouts in the top and bottom didn't line up correctly. Finally, one side of one of the halves showed obvious machining defects in the form of 2 long grooves extending the entire length of the side.

Case-Mate is now sending me yet another replacement case today. Hopefully the 4th time will be the charm, but I can't say I'm overly optimistic, which is a shame because I really do love the look of this case.

You have more patience than I do. I stop messing with this case after the second time. Returned it and got my cash back. The first case I had broke at the plastic joints and the second case had tons of sharp ridges and defects along the inside border.

I was going to wait until I could get a unit sent to me for testing but really wanted it early so I bought it outright. Still my favorite overall looking aluminum case since it looks like it is part of the phone. Too bad on Case-mate has had so many problems with this case. QC appears to be hit or miss.

Yes, their CS is top notch. Returns and exchanges are a breeze.

Just got mine in jet black, I did notice I had to remove the carbon wrap I had on the metal strip to get it to fit properly. No reception or GPS issues so far either. It looks really sharp and I like how the buttons are all covered including the mute switch. I have gone through over 20 cases and this is by far my favorite.

BTW Here is a code I got for 20% off, Not sure if its one time use or not.
