I'm shocked Incase doesn't have one yet. They usually have cases before anyone. They mention nothing on their site yet... Even for preorder or coming soon.

And exactly as I said. This is PRE ORDER and won't even ship until early to mid November. :) If you want something AVAILABLE NOW, going to have to get something not designed SPECIFICALLY for the MBA 11"

Oh yes indeedy,

I didn't see that (small print there)

Well that figures.

They did that when I ordered my case for my iphone 4... they can spit out marketing pics in a week, but to get something spec'd and to china for production will take a couple weeks... and this mb air was a bit of a surprise for most I think. It's not like the iPhone where there was a ton of rumor lead-up to launch :)

I bet they'll be one of the first to actually ship a truly customized case for it tho... but who knows? There's already crap on ebay claiming to be macbook air 11" case... but they're all just re-named acer or compaq cases, lol

Right. We all knew there was a new MBA coming, but there was no way of knowing how thick it was going to be, what sizes it would come in, etc.

I know I was amazingly shocked (in the most pleasant way possible) when I heard the news. Steve Jobs was famous for saying how netbooks had no place and Apple would never touch that market. To me this is absolutely a netbook... but call it a ultraportable laptop... either way I'm pleased as can be, and I ordered one right away.

I do think most accessory manufacturers are as surprised with the 11" model as me tho :)

I think Steve would define a netbook as a "Cheap, plasticky, underspec'd laptop computer with a poor quality screen - running Windows, of course."

Yes, having a case on a MacBook Air does make sense, contrary to what most people here believe... Someone interested in putting a case on a MacBook Air would put a case on any MacBook. A MacBook Air with a case is still thinner than a MacBook Pro with a case.

Unfortunately, there are no such cases available. I'm interested in finding a case myself.

come on, these guys make some of the smartest looking products for computers. They are a class of their own, and you can customize them in so many ways, and maybe be they should give a cut for touting them, huh?:D

I wouldn't buy the linked product if it were $10... it's just not stylish, lol

I used a speck clear on my MBA rev b. It is still mint today and I just sold it. Not a single blemish on it, so if the op is interested in a quality protective case, speck makes the best. You can get them on amazon cheaper than the apple store. Btw zagg has the armor for the new 13" on the site right now. Fwiw.

Yes that's the zagg. But speck is a hard shell, not out yet for this gen. Soon I hope. Thought I would throw the zagg in for an option.

Yeah, I own a Spec. 50 bucks to learn that a case is something I am not interested in. At all. In any way.

Perhaps they appeal to the masculine as I find them fine.

(and I like own them all, Sfbags that is) :D
I also think they are really ugly. I don't really know why, but I know I think they are ugly and that's all that matters.

Has anyone used this:

Tucano Work_Out

I was at Fry's yesterday, and saw the Tucano Work_Out for 11.6" Netbooks. Luckily it was also conveniently in the Apple section, so I tried it out on the 11" MacBook Air, and it fit PERFECTLY. They do have it in a medium blue and red if you want something other than black. It is very well padded and has several pockets. I think it'll do nicely. Hope this helps.
