The new ones have the correct hole cutouts. Yes, it does show fingerprints, as it's a smooth, acrylic case. Benefit of that is it does not yellow over time. I had one on my 7+ for over a year and the case looked brand new.

No that pic is of the old style cast. 3 extra holes on the left speaker.

This is the old cast - I am getting the new one case on Thursday. This is generally not a finger print magnet - It just happens that my 9 year old was playing with the case (with dirty fingers) and I did not wipe it down after.

So far, I am loving this case!

Yes. And it’s easier to wipe down the smudges on the case the the naked IPhone.

Is it hard to take off like others have said?

I got mine today, its slippery but looks nice. I am not sure about the rest - but I see watermarks on it...not worth the price.

I ordered one off the website a few days ago. Will mine come with the correct speaker cutout?

You should. I just got mine a few days ago and it has precise speaker cutouts with the correct number of holes. Terrific case. I don't find it slippery at all, but that's just me. It also seems to be a little bit less smudge prone than the one I had before for my X. Really liking it.

It's definitely on tighter than the one for my X, but I prefer that. I found that the the trick to getting it off easily is to start with the bottom two corners. Use two hands to slip the corners off. It comes off pretty easily. If you try to pry it open from any other angle, it'll break. Learned the hard way myself (although I asked Caudabe for a replacement and they gave me one which was nice).

Can someone please post photos (specially the bottom) of the Lucid Clear with iPhone XS? I'm talking about the new version with the correct holes. Also, is Lucid Clear thinner than Sheath?

Just got my Caudabe Lucid Clear, it's quite slippery but looks great and it's very well made.

So I have been using my Lucid Clear for about 2+ weeks now. What can I say - it does bring out the beauty of the iPhone, however its very very slippery. I am very careful with my phones and sometimes, inevitably an occasional drop can't be avoided. Today was one of those days. Was taking off my jeans and because of how slippery the case was, it slid out of my phone and fell on concrete tiles. Cracked my screen protector. The case was slightly damaged by the side and very minor mark on the bezel. Phone dropped around 2ft from ground. I won't be using the case anymore because I think its not worth showing the beauty and risking it dropping.

Edit: after taking off the case, I realise that its so slippery. The iPhone itself has more grip than the case. As the case barely protects, might as well not use it at all.

I got one for the Xr and one for the 8 Plus. The 8 Plus one must be old inventory and cut for the 7 Plus because it’s a bit too thick for be case so the bottom speaker holes don’t quite line up. And while it’s not yellow it’s a tiny bit less crystal pure clear than the Xr case so that’s why I think it’s old inventory. It will do, though.

I really like the one I got for the Xr. It lets me really enjoy my phone and protects it from scratches. It’s slippery, so when it’s really cold and I start wearing gloves and my hands are dry I’m going to put one one of the other thick tpu cases I already owned for it.

I think it looks great on yellow phones and the white phones pictured by @gianton

For a darker color like my Product Red it’s a bit too reflective so you see the case more than the color. However what I see is a bit skewed by the fact I do use clear film back glass protectors on my phones to protect the finish from any grit that gets trapped inside the cases.

I did notice my XR case is quite a bit thicker and more sturdy and just better quality overall than the one for the 8 Plus.

Are you using a tempered glass display protector? Just wondering because if you are, I can’t see it.

No I'm not using a glass display protector. I ordered a TPU case for the winter too as it will get more slippery with dry hands. It's a quality case as all the ones I got from Caudabe, hope they could make it less slippery it would be perfect.

I think in general what makes the Lucid Clear so popular: an ultra clear, thin, and perfectly form fitting design is the fact it is made from the glass like hard plastic that MAKES it so slippery. It's the same thing that prevents it from yellowing over time.

Most other "clear" cases out there are rubbery, stretch over time, in general are much thicker, often have dots and create the illusion of watermarks etc. and almost every single one of them yellows very quickly.

I'm not sure there is a clear case that "has it all" but I'm sure the case companies are trying to figure it out. It appears the new Apple branded iPhone XR clear case has rubbery flexible sides, a hard back, and appears pretty thin. Now the question is will it yellow...

I just received the Lucid Clear for the XS Max and it’s the best clear case that I’ve had.

The fit is perfect and it moulds around the corners, buttons and lightning port with great precision.

It’s slippery but it’s also very slim. It shows off the stainless steel edges and back.

I’ll be using this as my daily driver and keeping the Apple forest green for special occasions :)
