The front of the iPhone has been left untouched, but the back features a mechanical watch with an accurate Swiss watch mechanism complemented by intricate guilloche work and matching engravings.

According to Caviar, the watch built into the customized iPhones is wound manually through a crown that's included on the right side of the casing.

Caviar is limiting the Grand Complications Skeleton iPhones to 99 pieces in each colorway, with each iPhone numbered via an engraving on the side of the device.

There are very rich people who hold on to wealth and pass it down through the generations. Then there are the wealthy you read about who somehow blew it all. My guess is those who buy stuff like this belong to the latter.

[doublepost=1539813319][/doublepost]Haters will hate!!! But you will never see this on a Samscum!!

I spent less money on my Omega Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch + my 512GB Xs Max in otterbox or Pitaka case, and I can choose one or the other or both to carry on any day.

Ha! I do dig custom cases. I have one with my own ambigram artwork printed on it.

Though I am not sure if this can be classified as "custom". Limited edition, yes. But they have produced 300 of these pieces and you have to buy them as they are... can't customize it... can you.
[doublepost=1539843581][/doublepost]I am also curious about the business model of this company. Do they advertise themselves, because that seems silly way to sell a 6000 dollar case?

Super bad taste which contradicts everything Apple stands for: simplicity and functionality.

If they went with Chinese mechanics they'd have an equally useful phone back for well under $100.

Why are they even offering a 64GB version of these? That is the biggest p*ss take. Why would anyone want to spend $6000 on a phone and only get the base model? The craftsmanship and effort on all storage models will be the same, are the price increases between each storage level at the same increments as Apple ie a few hundred dollars, if not then they are even more greedy than Apple!

Case Excess... If I could afford this case... I'd probably just save my money and just throw my iPhone away each time I drop it then get a new one. Can't have an iPhone with a blemish on it.

Looks really nice, but I gotta imagine if you dropped it that it’s pretty much destroyed. That craftsmanship works on a watch since it’s strapped on your wrist. Dropping that thing would result in a thousand tiny pieces of metal flying in all directions, I feel like.
I‘m not sure that it even needs to be dropped. I can imagine putting it in your pocket and pulling it out again might be enough to destroy it.

For those who can’t quite afford the red sports car (or doll head “hair system”), there’s no better way to announce to the planet that you’ve got a 2” wang. And what neckbeard wouldn’t gladly lay out $6,000 for the perfect finishing touch to their I’m-never-getting-laid steampunk cosplay get-up (a person can only own so many Joker and Boba Fett figurines, after all)? The market for this thing is wide open!

Very flash. But how does one instagram one’s self holding one’s phone in the driver’s seat of one’s BMW?

One is going to need two phones :(
