Yep! I ordered immediately after I finished my order for the 7+ lol :D

Nice! I did the same thing, but got the later delivery. Oh well hopefully it will ship sooner.

Nice work guys on getting launch day for the ceramic! I slept in, at 3:45 it was showing "unavailable" :( While later it came back and I ordered, but shows delivery for late oct / early nov.

Are you looking for the 42mm? They seem to be in tight supply for both the Edition and the Hermes. The 38mm Edition and Hermes are 2-3 week shipping times.

I ordered a Ceramic and a Hermes Watch. Wish the Hermes was also available in Ceramic. Ceramic delivers 9/16 and Hermes in October.
I love Hermes leather. All of my wallets are Hermes. Their leather is simply best in class.

Yup, 42. My last hope now is that some store in my vicinity will be carrying the Edition. All we know right now is that "select" stores will be carrying it I think.

I did the same.
I would like it if the Hermes offered a rose gold version, to be completely honest.

Wow.

Now how to get hold of this orange band to go with a ceramic white watch...
Hope some Hermes buyer doesn't like it and lists it.

I'm a 38mm wearer. Plucking up the courage to Pre-Order. Then I am going to combine it with Sport Bands in Black, Yellow, Midnight Blue, Concrete and of course, Cloud! I have 'Orange' and Green and don't see them going that well but we'll see. And perhaps Product (RED) would also go very nicely.

Oh, and also maybe the Grey/White Nike Band if that ever becomes separate it might look quite fresh too.

Maybe Apple could convince Chanel to collaborate and release Apple Watch J12 edition instead.

Wait a couple of days and check Mixmywatch.com and they'll have the ceramic and you can customize to any band. I have the Watch Edition with the black buckle. I used to agree that the editions didn't have many options, but if you talk to any Rolex, omega, Brettling owners they would change the bands

I initially wanted the ceramic watch, but when I saw that it came with the sports band I decided against it. I think it looks great, but not necessarily for everyday wear. I have the SS watch with modern buckle and find that band much more comfortable to wear than the sports band. As a result I'm getting the series 2 SS with midnight blue modern buckle. I'm a little concerned that the watch is slightly larger and heavier than the series 1 but I'll have to wear it to see if it really makes a difference.

I ordered a 42mm Edition for me a 38mm for my wife pretty much right away when the store went up. Both of our Edition watches are "Preparing for Shipment" with delivery on Friday.

As far as band selection - I wear the white sport band now with my stainless steel, it's my favorite band, so I'll probably be pretty happy to just wear a white sport band with the edition model also.

If only they made a black ceramic version  ...

+1 I wouldn't hesitate for a second on a black ceramic

(And I'm kind of hoping that's the direction they will go with the anniversary iPhone 8 rather than the rumored all "glass" approach).

Just out of curiosity, why that over the Space Black? Weight?

I've got a space black and would love a black ceramic (I ordered the white). Why? because it's 4x harder than the steel and the apple website goes as far as to say the ceramic is scratch and dent proof

Yikes, did your Space Black Watch head get all scratched up?

Don't forget that ceramic has the potential to break/crack, so it's a trade off:

Not a mark anywhere on it, been to Disney a couple of times, St. Lucia, etc, etc. Just took care of it like I do all my watches.

Ceramic tends to have catastrophic failures, not small ones like scratches and dings. Also, not all ceramics are the same and I'm willing to bet Apple's process is state of the art and that the voids in the structure are as small as reasonably possible.

I'd choose Space Black over a black
ceramic, if your Space Black isn't scratching. Those ceramic watches I showed are state of the art and cost in the five figures, and their cases are much thicker than the relatively thin case of the Apple Watch.

I can understand wanting a white ceramic, since there isn't another smooth white version, and it is lighter, but black seems covered with an arguably better material/process.

Saw the black Milanese loop in person for the first time today. It's reallly nice! Wondering how it would pair with the ceramic...

I have it for my SS watch. I cannot tell the difference betweent he Apple one and the $30 one I got on Ebay. Not as nice as the silver one. Seems thinner.

Pre'd like a chump. Worth Applecare+?

I am thinking it might be wise, with the accidental damage coverage. I'm essentially new to watches with an original SS 38mm having had no issues, esp not with the case (e.g. no dents) so I guess that makes me 'careful' but with what I'm hearing about Ceramic as a material it's basically totally fine until it's totally ruined. And I don't like the sound of that in an out of warranty / no accidental damage situation.

You can bet you this Ceramic isn't going to crack unless you knock it against something (and knock it hard) but when & if it does you will be glad you have AppleCare+ !
(ignoring the thread going on somewhere else about someone's plan being cancelled.)

^That being said, I wonder how the ceramic compares to the sapphire in terms of how hard a hit would crack it. I've knocked my SS watch face (by accident) many times over the past 16 months. Sometimes quite hard too. Still looks pristine.
