Change from 3-4 weeks to Preparing for Shipment?

It is interesting that yours is now shipping with a delivery date of Jan 4-10. I ordered straight away on the 30th, it is still processing and has a delivery date of Jan 2-3. If it does not move today I highly doubt they will reach me in time given how things will pretty much shut down here in Sweden during almost two weeks. If they push my date forward now Apple is going to receive a not-so-friendly telephone call.

I called end of last week to pay the extra money and upgrade to expedited shipping. I was told she couldn't upgrade my shipping. Today I thought I'd try again and this time the CSR upgraded the shipping free of charge. New ship date Dec27-Jan3. Though she does expect it to ship this week. :)

Where are you based?
 
I ordered mine on 2nd December and it changed to "preparing for shipment" in the morning.

Edit: 17.12.12, 17:26 Status changed to shipped :)

I am getting annoyed.
I ordered 30/11 in the first minutes and it is STILL processing and delivery date is 3rd-9th January :mad:

And there are alot of people who ordered later but their iMacs are on the way.

Why??

Agreed, Apple has royally screwed up on this. It is extremely unfair and frustrating for those of us who ordered before, yet people who ordered after us are already having their iMacs shipped. :mad:
