Will this damn saga never end?

Got this email yesterday from the Apple Store.....

We're having trouble with your address.

Our carrier is having trouble delivering your shipment—it appears your address is either incomplete or incorrect. To update your delivery address, please reply to this email with the following information:

Recipient first and last name
Company name (if applicable)
Street number and name
City, state and ZIP
Telephone number

Please provide a physical address—we’re unable to deliver to postal centers.

If we don’t hear from you, our carrier will return your shipment to Apple.

This after FOUR calls to Apple in the last week to REPEATEDLY get them to make my shipping address my billing address and FOUR promises that they did just that.

So I send in the requested information and call them to get to a supervisor.

1.4 hours later of jamming to hold music....

"Gee whiz sir, not sure how this has happened but I super secret squirrel promise that we have this right this time. Apparently 4 other of my associates here can't spell worth a lick and have totally mis-typed your address four different times. But on the bright side, at least your phone is now sitting in the right state!"

I've been offered a free case for my trouble (I took it but don't want it). I've been offered a $25 iTunes gift card (Took that will give it to my kids). The guy last night offered me free Apple care (which I had already bought with this phone and which arrived LAST WEEK to my PROPER address I might add). They won't budge on giving me a credit on my order, but have offered me freebies for my troubles.

I just want my damn phone sent to my billing address. Why is this so freaking hard?!?!?!?!?! My shipping address is my billing address. The same damn address you ask me to verify EVERY STINKING TIME I call in to get you to fix this mess so I know you've got it right there in front of you. I don't even have that difficult of an address to spell....it's not 123 Anywhere Street but its pretty freaking close to that simple.

I've bought a lot of gear from Apple over the years. Never had this kind of an issue before. Totally inept service process.

This is just awful. Has your UPS tracking information changed since friday? On friday 9/19 UPS says my phone had a destination scan from my old address, but no updates over the weekend...it still states that I will get my phone tomorrow by 3 pm.

As of 6A CST this morning it says "Out for Delivery." We shall see.

Mine too! I was mortified when I saw last Friday that it was "out for delivery" in the wrong state. After all those calls to Apple and their false information and statements. Fortunately, mine quickly updated again to package intercepted and address change received and confirmed. It still makes no sense to me that it had to go all the way to the other state first before it could be changed. But my biggest fear was that it would get signed for by someone else and stolen - that would have delayed things considerably and at least that doesn't appear to have happened. How awful for those that did have their phones
stolen at delivery.
So I'm hopefully getting mine today and will update later as to when that happens.

I'm drafting a letter to Apple VP of Customer Relations right now.

I'll send it regardless of whether or not I receive my phone today. This constant "We've fixed it! Wait, no we didn't! Yes we did! No we didn't! Blah blah blah" churn reeks to me of more than just being overwhelmed. There's a fundamental flaw somewhere in their shipping relationship.

As of 2:21P CST, I FINALLY have my iPhone 6.

Alls well that ends well I 'spose but I still think Apple fumbled this one.

After UPS telling me that they had to deliver to my old address once, then they'd ship it to my updated address, UPS had updated their tracking late Friday to show that I would receive my phone on Monday (today). I opened up my UPS tracking earlier today and it showed my phone was out for delivery to my old address AGAIN.

I called UPS and the rep told me that I would receive my phone tomorrow since they had to deliver to my address once. I told them that they already tried to deliver to my address last FRIDAY, and she told me "we have no record of your package being out for delivery last friday" to which I responded, that all the iphones were released last friday since I ordered mine on launch day. She told me all she could tell me that I would receive my phone tomorrow. Considering my old address is in Michigan and I am in California at the moment, I find that hard to believe, especially as my phone is on a truck in the metro Detroit area for delivery at the moment.

What a huge cluster****.

I tried to get my shipping address changed to somewhere else in my state where I now live, except it somehow was accidentally changed to another state like some of you have experienced! I called Apple again and told them I had no idea what that new address was so it was changed back. Checked my status launch morning, and it was rerouted anyway by UPS to that state! I call Apple and wait to talk to someone daily and every day they promise it's about to be fixed and that their systems have it right, except today UPS just tried delivering it to that unknown address. UPS and Apple continue to blame one another, and yet I can't seem to get my iPhone to come to the correct state. So frustrating!

I received my iPhone 6+ around the same time you received yours. So my story ends well, I hope that others have as well. I feel that all three vendors AT&T, Apple and UPS are at fault here. It shouldn't have had to be that difficult to change an address on an order that was originally made with a request to go to that correct address from the beginning. AT&T by the way, still hasn't updated my correct billing address because when I activated my phone I had to use the wrong zip to get it to go through. So they STILL don't have it changed even though I called them on 9/12 to update them to change it in their system asap. I will be asking for them to at least wave my activation fee since I've been with them a long time and am on a premier account with a FAN discount. We shall see how that goes...

Slight and humorous update...

Since receiving my iPhone 6 (finally) yesterday afternoon, I've received 3 additional "Apple is reviewing your request" emails. Looks to me like their system may have hiccupped substantially last week.
