What! over a Honda S2000, Boxster or Maza RX8. That's just crazy talk

I personally don't like the look of a honda s2000, the crossfire looks much nicer IMO. the boxster is okay but everyone has them, servicing etc etc also costs a lot more! I would pick a crossfire and I will within the next year.

Agreed! The s2000 is quite cool, but I think it would be a bit too small for some people. The crossfire is a nice choice! I do like the 300C as well:) But are any of these cars suitable for a first car??

I should imagine the insurance may be a bit! I remember on my 1.2l Fiesta the insurance was £1300 for the first year! I wouldn't even like to imagine what the price would be for the crossfire! luckily now I only pay £400 now

Maybe a late '70's early '80's 911 (Not the Turbo... you'll only end up making holes in hedges, properly educating you in the subtle art of turbo lag in the process). ;)

Small aside, I was playing Forza online a few days ago, and drove a dead-stock 944 Turbo, and managed to hang on the back of a heavily modded CRX for 3 out of the 5 laps we did at Road Atlanta. He was cutting corners and everything, while I was driving as smoothly as one can while steering with a stick. He managed to get his act together for the last two laps, though, and beat me by about 3-4 seconds.

Where's the other 8 cylinders fella? :p

12 cylinders are completely different. :p

The 944 was front engined rear wheel drive car with a rear mounted gearbox it had very good weight distribution and was easy to drive quickly, so nothing like the 911. The 944 S2 with the 3.0l four banger is one of my absolute favorite classic sports cars, highly underrated in my opinion

Big ups to the Subaru line.
I just got a 2011 Legacy, and though it's a 4cyl engine, it's got a ton of pep. Reasonable price (sub $25k). Good MPG (22-30). AWD, great crash ratings, roomy interior.

Not sure how much these things would cost, but I saw one today and I think it would be a nice car. Sporty.

Personally, the first thing that comes to my head is a VW GTI. Any model should do haha. Also, maybe you'd like a secondhand BMW Z3 roadster? Or an e30 3-series (1980's) BMW? I know you already mentioned your hatrid for the 316 and 318, but I had to mention the 3 series line since I drive a 1986 325 haha

So, Patmian212, what kind of car did you end up buying? It has been almost 4 years since this thread was created.

you can get a used S2000 for pretty cheap now days. IMO the best sports car you can get for its price range.

That's my old S2000. I miss the thing :(

*edit* lol, didn't realize this thread was 3 years old!!!
