Uh, for what? Putting together the pieces that leaked of Apple? It's not like they're selling them as phones.

You've probably already been corrected, but these are not the leaked parts assembled into a finished [non-working] phone, these are actual knock-off devices being sold as working phones designed to look exactly like the rumoured iPhone 5 based on the leaks and rumours.

The 'goo phone'.. Seriously.

If you're gonna rip them off (and that phone does look like a pretty good copy) why ruin it with such a stupid name. At least they didn't rip off Apple's marketing :)

Because their customers are lemons that don't care about truth. They fall for the illusion that these are quality phones, "just as good" as the real thing. It's a lie, but a darn good one. Even at $200 a phone, they probably make a killing because too many people in the world just don't give a crap.

The only thing I'm laughing at is your grammar. Get a grip. There are bad things about every country, if you don't look past the bad you want find the good. The U.S. isn't all bad.

Ok, you laugh at his grammar. I'll laugh at his spelling ('stoopid', and 'laughes'). I think that will about cover it. :p

..which is exactly why Apple has been leaking these parts themselves. The new iPhone is going to have a totally different look to this.

I just cannot believe that Apple would start to haemorrhage parts in the volume and quality (image) that we've been seeing, especially after Tim's statement to double down on security.

Are you serious? or just joking. Companies at size of Apple will never leak fake parts on purpose.

I understand if they are sued for copying previous patents. But can apple go after these guys for copying the iPhone5? This phone made it out first. Could this company take Apple to court? I'm getting dizzy thinking about it!

Yes. The argument would be that they were trying to directly benefit from Apple's intellectual property as well as brand recognition, and infringed upon patents that are already extant (even if the products themselves haven't come to market yet).

..I'm guessing :D

So what else is new? They copy everything because they cannot develop anything!

yeah just as chinese im feel not bad here

more chniese do not like these firms, and we regard them as thieves!

but chinese marcket is such a larger one, most of them cant afford the high price iphone. then the shanzhai firms catch the points!

and otherwise we have a lot good companies there for example huawei .

so we are not too bad :)

Just a side note, the China clones put the emphasis more on "look exactly"
and less on "working".

Even in China you see very few people with those no-name iPhone clones. It's more safe to export them to people that won't bring them back the next day. Some forums are full of people crying about the crap the bought from China.

Unfortunately for Apple and your super plan there, is that this Chinese firm has supposedly patented the iPhone 5 already and are obviously hoping to make a quick buck off Apple.

Could goophone sue apple if the new iPhone 5 does not resemble the goophone because of fake leaks?

This is of course total BS. But even if, the presumed iPhone 5 is heavily based on the iPhone 4 design and I have great doubts that the design can get a design patent, additional to the iPhone 4 one. There is nothing really new.

And of course they are not capable to copy the technology.
