I've often thought that Tom Cruise would be a good pick for the role due to his mannerisms and general intensity. However, Bale makes a heck of a lot of sense as well.

It seems strange if they let Fincher walk over the casting of the lead and end up casting Bale anyway.

I guess I can see it.

And David Fincher isn't directing anymore? Only reason I wanted to see it was because Fincher and Sorkin make a great writer/director pair.
Yeah, the whole Fincher/Reznor/Sorkin combo would have been nice.

Either one seems like they could pull it off nicely.

How many movies have there been about all kinds of random people? Why does it matter?

Your right. It doesn't matter.

But how many ways can you tell the same story in the last 3 years.

Fiction is one thing, but non fiction stories shouldn't be re-shot every other year. Just my opinion.

Bale as Jobs is an awesome choice. Only actor that would do a better job would be Daniel Day Lewis.

All kinds of ways. And it's not necessarily the same story either as different ones focus on different things.

I would also approve of Daniel day Lewis if he was in the running. Bale and Lewis are both method actors so either one would make a solid movie

Bale is a great actor and he for sure has wayyyy more cachet than Ashton, who I can't take very seriously.

I agree.
I think Tom Cruise with his complexities would have been a better choice but Bale is OKish.

Didn't watch Jobs because I can't stand AshtonK, but I will for sure watch this one with Bale.

I think this is a better man for the JOB.
