I truly believe this will be 1000x better than jobs. Hope they get Batman... he's one of the best out right now. Should have won an award with American Hustle IMO at the Oscar's.

Classic flick in its own time...

Too much about Steve Jobs, but just not enough about me. Hello, Steve Wozniak.

I don't wish to be crass but he is also a good choice as he can drop the weight needed to resemble someone who has terminal cancer.
Not many actors are physically or mentally capable of that.

The movie will not cover that aspect of Jobs' life. I believe it's only up until the iPod.

Oh, man, this is tooooo funny! Last night I watched "American Hustle," (rented through iTunes) and as I was watching, suddenly the thought came into my mind, "this guy could play Steve Jobs!" I would be delighted if this is what actually comes to pass. He's a good actor and I think if he lost some weight he really would resemble Steve even more......

Bale is known for weight loss. Watch "The Machinist". He lost 63 lbs for that movie.

It has been interesting to get glimpses into the development of this film from concept to screenplay, and now a probable director and possible lead actor.

I expect it won't be released for 18 months or so, probably at the end of 2015 in time for an Oscar push.

I don't think physical appearance similarity is too crucial if the acting job is done well and the personality is captured properly by the actor. Ashton had the looks to qualify him to play Steve but the acting was far too exaggerated.

Michael Fassbender please.
Who the hell chooses an actor just because he resembles the character?
Because that's realistically the only thing that Bale has going for him as an actor when it comes to a role like this, right?

Ugh. Another one who can't act. At least he is better than Kutcher.
Really? Bale…can't act? You must not have seen most of the movies he's been in.

Just how many silly movies are they going to make about Steve Jobs? He's dead, and just mush in the casket.

Seriously? In the last one, Jobs was played by Ashton Kutcher, and the script was by Crayola. This is Aaron Sorkin's script, and maybe David Fincher directing. Big difference.

Huge difference, the other one is basically an overhyped TV movie of the week. This is the real deal with two of the top talents in their respective fields.

I just don't see the appeal of the movies. We don't have videos of Steve Jobs' private life, but we have video of most of his public life, presentations, interviews, which are endlessly entertaining. He lived in recent time that we were able to view. It's not like Lincoln where we have no videos and weren't present and need it recreated to get what it might have been like.
