I don't like the idea that the iPhone looks like a small iPad. It's so uninspired...it's like recycling an old design.
iPhones needs to have its own design.
I mean...come on...The design exists since the first iPad mini. I get that the iPad Air has this design but iPhone?
It's pretty lazy IMO.

I see where you're coming from, but it makes so much sense from a branding and manufacturing standpoint. Also, that design really started with iPod touch which I always wished was what the iPhone would one day be... Beautiful and really thin and lightweight.

I'm almost 100% sure that the "thick antenna bands" actually contains the actual antennas (Wifi and/or BT and/or GPS) and go around the outside of the aluminum back (which is one single piece).

Their thickness is not an aesthetic choice, neither are the rounded sides (which will make it much harder to bend than the 5/5S).

Oh how I wish they would bring back the slate color... Some people had scratching issues, sure, but I think it looks soo sleek
Me too! I have slate iPhone 5 and love it, yeah I do get scratches and dings here and there but still love how sleek it looks overall. On the other hand, space gray looks bland in comparison.

All of the iPhone 6 Mockup/Leaks/Etc that have been posted here show the flash on the back as NOT being the True Tone flash, but the older circular single LED flash. Why would Apple put the older flash in the newer body?!?!? Has anyone else noticed this??? That's why I have to claim FALSE on this "leaked" back videos/photos.

Does the fact that there is a cut out for the Apple logo point to a glowing apple like on Macs or is that how past rear shells have been too?

Edit: seems that's a popular question

This is what I most interested in knowing about.

Every seems so hung up on those break lines; it's quite ridiculous. Everyone is a ****ing critic this days for perfection, I suppose.

And in all the threads about these mockups, people have been explaining that it's possible to make a "True Tone" flash that fits in a single hole. Is it hard to understand? Multi-Color LEDs already exist.

I have to believe that the antenna bands serve more of a purpose than just as antennas to be exposed so prominently. Especially when we have seen HTC solve the problem already in a more elegant fashion. My guess is that they may serve a dual purpose, ..wireless charging ...another sensor.

My big concern is that they start peeling off and Apple is exposed to another scratch-gate type PR disaster. I don't know what exactly keeps them in place all the way around, but it better be strong. They would look pretty sh**ty to have bands frayed or dangling off of these poor iPhones. Certainly people will not be happy in such a case.

Not to mention that the whole concept is about as useful as tits on a nun to begin with.

Check the drawings published some time ago on macrumors
There is the voice "rear flash" at the camera...http://cdn.macrumors.com/article-new/2014/03/iphone_6c_drawings_larger.jpg
I think that we will see a round flash (like the one used to make the circle on the eyes in some photos if I'm correct) around the camera and a normal flash in the other cutout
Let me know what do you think....

Mockuprumors.com?

define:mockup @ google.com. ;)

I don't care that it looks like an "uninspired design". I care whether or not we'll see a phone that doesn't cover our entire face. Bigger is not always better. I just want a regular-sized phone that fits in my regular-sized pockets.

Apple won't be releasing an iPhone 7. They're getting out of the phone business. There's no money in it.

They're going to start making mockups of the phones they would make if they were still making phones. Mockups are where the money is these days.

P.S.: where are the "Apple is doomed" comments? I'm starting to miss them.

Been saying this for years now...all Apple has to do to kill the Android hype is allow a bit more customization and release a bigger screen iPhone. By doing both, it kills off the 2 major points of Android differentiation.

Now the focus can turn to iOS's security, quality of apps, and easy software update process...the latter of which is still a nightmare for many Android users.

It's nice to see someone with some common sense. They actually took all three phones and let us compare the sizes on top of each other. They also took the time to show the thickness of each phone compared to one another. I really appreciate that.
Shame that one can only truly appreciate the intent as the person in charge of filming the thing was unable to get the picture in focus.

I have always wondered about the lines.
If you look at the leaked schematics, you' ll notice that the materials from the seams are the same as the frontside of the phone.

Look at this, this looks beautiful and they have a point.

Wow.. I've been out of the Apple loop for a good while but is this what the back of the iPhone 6 will really look like? It looks like such a regression, so mid 2000s. It's funny when at the 50 second mark they put on a white/gold iphone 5s and it looks so modern and classy in comparison.

I know most these phones get slapped into cases anyways, but I'm surprised Apple would degrade the physical appearance of the phone like this simply to offer something new/generate sales. Does anyone think this actually looks better than the 5s?

I know I know your all tired of hearing this.

But the 4.7" seems like the perfect size! It looked nice when he picked it up. But then the 5.5" just looked plain awkward. Also if they do make a 5.5" it will have superior specs then the 4.7" or have certain features it has only :(

My wish and bet is they only release a 4.7"

COME AT ME!!!

We'll have to wait for the final product to reach a verdict on the "looks".

However, it will definitely have a nicer "hand feel" than the 4 and 5 series iPhones. Those models always felt a bit off due to their sharp, uncomfortable edges.

Pick up an iPod touch to get an idea of how the 6 will feel to hold - it should feel very nice thanks to the smooth edges and thin profile.

At first I wanted the 4.7 but since the 5.5 isn't as wide as the Galaxy Note 3 I think that I would prefer the 5.5 inch. It's the width that makes the Note 3 so difficult to use.

I'm looking forward to purchasing this phone. I just hope that they offer a 128 gb version. I need more space badly.

Agree...if this video is real, I will be getting the 5.5 - there no much difference from the 4.7 (to the 4')

If I make 2 phone calls a week that's a lot

And that, my friends, is a major reason society is experiencing a major disconnect from social norms, respect and an overall ability to function. In the past decade, we've swiftly moved from physical interaction, to mobile phone's, texting, and soon blips on "Find my Friends" and "Facebook". We may as well be computers ourselves, screw the real world, who needs it? :p

Very nice looking IMO. I plan on getting the 5.5" and hopefully it will meet my needs well enough I won't need my iPad rMini. Hope to also get an MBA 12" when it comes out.

Did anyone think that the iPhone 5 with it's antenna cut-outs looked better than iPhone 4/4s before it actually came out? No.

Does anyone complain about the cut-outs anymore? No.

Why? The real thing always looks better than the leaks and the oddness of the new turns to plain and familiar lightning fast. And desirable too, once all your buddies have the newer model and you're still using that two year old historical relic from the angular period...
