And that, my friends, is a major reason society is experiencing a major disconnect from social norms, respect and an overall ability to function. In the past decade, we've swiftly moved from physical interaction, to mobile phone's, texting, and soon blips on "Find my Friends" and "Facebook". We may as well be computers ourselves, screw the real world, who needs it? :p

Agree...its comical how few minutes I use - this is what I have so far for June

actively deceiving

I believe Apple for the first time is actively deceiving rumors by planting false mockups. They can do this successfully until mass production begins, which by this time it will be much harder to produce a product in the millions with complex supply chains, a secret.

Why bottom of the iPhone is plastic? And rest of it doesn't look like metal to me neither. Maybe it's iPhone 6C?   And also why the Apple logo on the white one is empty while black one is filled? And why slate color when Apple replaced it with Space Gray due scratches?

I thought I was going crazy, I thought the same! :D

Those look like cheap Chinese iphone knockoffs when placed next to that gorgeous 5s. Let's hope these are all fake... cuz they sure look like crap.

I'm a bit torn apart about these mock ups, I kind of wish it wasn't true since the bands look hideous and the fact I actually liked 5/5S's sharper edges and not a big fan of rounded edges. But I kind of wish it was true so that slate color options are available once again.

I did have this thought, but the fact is they know people will buy this phone no matter how many leaks. It only adds to the hype. I think it will be the final product, but the finished product will look much better (just like the 5, I remember thinking how plain it looked)

So this is what it looks like the final version!

Hopefully, Apple design follows this since they need to make sure the rumors = the final product design. LOL! Now you know why it taking so long for the production to get rolling.

I don't know why so many of you are complaining about the lines on the back, when 98% of you just slap an ugly case on your phones from day one.

Haha I feel so stupid for misunderstanding your post. That's what I get for staying up really late and waking up really early.

Hehe no worries, I was doing the same. In fact after making my second post I couldn't make up my mind if I had managed to write the opposite of what I intended in the first place :D

“ We're going to double down on secrecy on products. I'm serious.
- Tim Cook, speaking at D10 conference, May 2012.
Note none of the leaks are coming from Apple itself, but from parts suppliers. They have to deal with many suppliers and shutting them all up is a real problem. Things that are internal to Apple, like the software, are much easier to contain.

I'm impressed that so far we have zero leaks on the iWatch hardware.

Why? I mean... If you're going to throw stuff out there, might as well have reasoning/something to back it up. There were just as many mock-ups out last year, tbh.

As for me, I'm quite looking forward to this new phone, and the lines don't particularly bother me. It looks like they blend in pretty well with their surroundings. When the iPhone 5 came out I'm pretty sure people were wary about the look of it if I recall correctly! People preferred the 'classic' look of the 4S.

I just hope the final phone looks different on the back. Those thick lines make me want to throw up. SO ugly! It makes absolutely no sense from a jonny Ive *thin diamond polished edges* point of view...

People think this every year.Leaks always turn out correct. You never know theres a first time for everything.

…..I really hope it wont look like this. Those bands look really bad.

Knowing those stripes are more than likely essential for the best possible user experience, actually makes them look a lot better, and they may not be as pronounced on the shipping units. Either way, while using the phone, we don't get to see them. Personally, they don't bother me.

The iPhone 5 and 5s had/has diamond cut chamfered edges. I agree though, from the best phone design in the industry to a stretched out iPod touch/every other phone.

I'm impressed that so far we have zero leaks on the iWatch hardware.

Last year: zero leaks on 64-bit A7 and M7.
This year: zero leaks on Swift, SceneKit, Xcode 6 "playgrounds," Metal, etc.

So yeah, iPhone backshell leaks are inevitable. But all they do is build hype for the next iPhone anyway. Plus drive traffic to sites like MacRumors. There's always a lull in Apple-related traffic between WWDC and the fall product announcements. And, frankly, hardware is the easiest thing to do. Just the tip of the iceberg.

No, the real secret projects are related to future platform and infrastructure features. 64-bit hardware, privacy and security (A7 Secure Enclave), performance (Metal), frameworks and languages (SceneKit, Swift), and development tools (Xcode 6 "playgrounds") etc. Nothing was leaked about any of that. Not even on MacRumors.
