That white backdrop behind the picture leads me to believe that the screen will not be OLED. that kinda sucks. Hopefully I'm wrong
Without an OLED display these animations are awful
What is it with newbie posters railing about OLED all of a sudden?

I'm angry that it won't have kevlar circuit boards. Bet the latest version of the Podcast app wasn't even written in Haskel...

Meh I'll stick with my iPhone 6+. I giggle when people here seem to get into it about these motion wallpapers. LOL they're wallpapers. Who cares. LOL! I'm more excited for the Apple TV.

still think black on gold would look better and therefore match the new macbook while they could make a new white on rose gold option

- sent from my white on gold iphone

I'm going to rollover laughing when they announce this phone as the :apple:Phone instead of 6S.... but really that will more likely happen with the iPhone 7 than this year, but it looks like it may be the right time to change it up. The :apple:Watch being an example and a test-bed for this branding.

Another one, SG this time:

Big if, but if these are real I believe it indicates an OLED display.

I'm pretty sure these boxes are real, too many separate leaks now for them not to be.

However, 9to5Mac and Mark Gurman who have a very near perfect track record with these kind of things have said no to OLED displays, so I don't think we'll see them tomorrow which is a shame.

It just sucks that they'll likely be keeping the 16gb version.

The 5c only comes in 8GB!

Is it really so surprising from the people who've told us for the last 5 years that 8MP is plenty for a phone camera? 5 years in technology terms is worse than laughable, it's embarrassing. And Schiller will be up there telling us what a BEAUTIFUL camera it is… again.

Wait until we see how much RAM there is in the new phones, then we'll really have something to complain about. Apple has been abusing customers' trust in quality ever since the LC monitor debacle in the 90s.

At some stage they'll wake up that we only buy from them because they are the monopoly manufacturer, not because we're happy about the penny pinching component decisions that go into otherwise good products. (Can you say "MacBook with one usb-c port" and not feel shame?)

The bubble will burst soon. Apple is pricing itself out of the market. As the US$ keeps rising against other currencies, their stuff is becoming increasingly unaffordable elsewhere. "The rest of us" will pretty much become the status seeking Chinese and Cook won't care about the rest of the world, their numbers won't matter.

Here in Australia, watch starts at $500, not $350 and only the desperately hip buy them. A 64GB 6plus was $1139 last year and the AU$ has fallen considerably since then. If the red and gold watch wasn't a big enough clue, I'll spell it out for you. ONLY CHINA MATTERS ANYMORE.

Now take a look at that packaging. No westerner would buy based on that packaging, but a golden fish… guess who?

New iPhone wallpaper = OLED screen. Typical MR readers speculation, priceless...

This guy knows what's up! Well said.

this is the rose gold version... so we've already seen the gold koi fish, and the space gray koi fish... this is the rose gold version.

I really wonder what demand is going to be like in the first month for this compared to last year. Last year there was clearly pent up demand for people who wanted a large screened iPhone. But it's been out for a year and this version can't possibly be that much different than last year's.

Only Apple devotees would give a flip about a bloody box ... :D
If it were bloody, that would be a story...

Still, it's a step up from pictures of the outside of the building where the announcement will be tomorrow...

Can't see any reason to not believe this is genuine. It's very likely what the phone will look like, from the front. We know there will be a white and gold option, as there has been for the past 2 iPhones. We know iOS 9 is likely to launch with new wallpapers. All seems legit to me. Just a shame it doesn't confirm any of the rumoured new colour options.

Nope. Not much different.

7000 Series Aluminum
1GB DDR3 to 2GB DDR4 RAM
12-megapixel iSight camera with 4K recording
5-megapixel FaceTime camera
3D Force Touch
Rose gold option
And possibly more...

Not really interested in the box as it's the phone that's more practical for me

What? I've been using the box to make phone calls and post hilarious tweets for all this time... Who actually uses the iPhone inside?
