iPhone 6S without force touch = iPhone 6... 2GB RAM and better camera isn't enough for me to upgrade iPhone 6.

Sure, double the RAM, a processor that's 50-100% faster/more efficient, improved low-light camera performance, the regular 4.7" version getting optical image stabilisation. These are minor details. What you are really looking for is a cosmetic change. That would change everything ;)

... and 2GB RAM.

Lets be honest, the average user is going to give a rats butt about the ram. They will however see and use the camera.
While folks on these boards and other boards will care, most folks not so much.

I can see it now, just like the Verizon commercial a few years back, "Your wife will love the 2 gigs of ram it has"... yeah ok. :D

By average user, do you mean the people who use it only for facebook? If so, count me out!

Pretty much the only thing I'm holding out for with the 6s is the fabled new colour options, namely the black and rose gold/champagne gold colour option that has been floating around. If I'm gonna upgrade then I kinda want a different colour than my gold iPhone 6, but don't wanna just go for black.

Still holding out hope for another 4” iPhone someday...

Eventually Touch ID and the Home button will be integrated into the screen IMO, and the 4.7" iPhone will be about the same size as an iPhone 5. If you actually take the dimensions of 4.7" screen, without any bezels, you can actually fit it inside an iPhone 4 (which would be my dream come true).

And suddenly the iPhone 6 is feeling a bit old..
No no..
must wait for..
iPhone 7!

The struggle is real. :D
Seriously?

I'm still using a 5 since neither the 5s nor the 6 could tempt me:
  • 5s just added a useless fingerprint scanner (Police is legally allowed to force you to place your finger on it, because your finger isn't legally considered a password) and an ugly ring around the home button
  • 6 has an awful design (antenna bands, protruding camera, weird slippery and slightly too big form factors)
  • Both don't offer any discernible hardware improvements of the 5's hardware (RAM or CPU speed)
It's the same with my iPad Air. The second Air didn't offer anything worthy of an upgrade.

Anyway, I hope Apple tries a bit harder with the 7.

iPhone 6s will look exactly the same as the iPhone 6 so the leaks will be pretty boring, as well as the conference itself. Unless they finally have an updated Apple TV to show

The 5s and 6 are quite a big jump in CPU speed over the 5, so not sure where you got it from that they aren't.

Except for the back and front camera, and also for the fource-touch screen, you're right in the case of the 6s.

Except for the fingerprint reader, and the dual flash, you're right in the case of the 5s.

Except for the GPU and the 16GB storage you're right for the 4s

Which pretty much means you're wrong, of course.

Don't forget that SIRI premiered with the 4S as well

Why not go for the Space Grey?.. That's what I'm going for with the 6S.. I had the white & silver 4S, white and gold 5S..

That rose gold color looks like a$$

All you mention is great and is what we expect in a new model. I would want a reduced bezel because the phone feels bigger then it should, but we will have to wait for iphone 7 for this.

RI blaster wouldn't be bad, wireless charging would be awesome too.
