Apple seems to be getting a little long in the tooth for me in the last year or two. The watch really didn't do it for me. The 6s isn't really doing it for me either. Maybe I'll just hold on to my 5S.

There has to be something else that Apple is going to release for the iPhone 6s, I don't think force touch, 2 GB of ram are things the general public are going to say yeah man I got to get this 6s. There has to be something else. Remember the 5s had touch ID and that was a huge selling point and made the general public say yeah look how much easier it will be to unlock your phone I want that 5s.

There has to be another secret Apple is holding back on that will make the general public say wow I need to get the 6s. A bigger battery say 2 extra hours per day would be huge selling point. Remember Apple is looking for sales not from the select few on this forum but from the general public how can we make more sales? Force Touch and extra Ram don't seem to be enough.

No, absolutely not. The difference is just a fraction of a millimeter. The difference may not even be clearly visible to the naked eye.

I'm still using a 5 since neither the 5s nor the 6 could tempt me:

• 5s just added a useless fingerprint scanner (Police is legally allowed to force you to place your finger on it, because your finger isn't legally considered a password) and an ugly ring around the home button
• 6 has an awful design (antenna bands, protruding camera, weird slippery and slightly too big form factors)
• Both don't offer any discernible hardware improvements of the 5's hardware (RAM or CPU speed)

It's the same with my iPad Air. The second Air didn't offer anything worthy of an upgrade.

Anyway, I hope Apple tries a bit harder with the 7.

Why not go for the Space Grey?.. That's what I'm going for with the 6S.. I had the white & silver 4S, white and gold 5S..

That rose gold color looks like a$$

In your opinion. I'd love a black and gold iPhone (provided it wasn't yellow gold, would have to be champagne or rose). I'm reluctant to move away from a gold iPhone cause I've loved having one since me 5s, but I do want a colour change with the next one.

I think you meat 64 GB. In general, I have the impression that the 'internal' technical changes are bigger with the 's' models to partially compensate for the lack of any 'visual' differentiation (colours not withstanding).

Don't expect any great shakes in the 6S or 6S+ model and you won't be disappointed. Even Force Touch is not a must have feature. The new cameras will probably be more of a selling point

Agreed. I would say the real applications of Force Touch won't be fully integrated until the mid life of the 7 or even the 7S models. Cameras are good but honestly... it's not a make or break feature with how good the 6 camera has been. And when you can take pictures as stunning as this one I took the other day, it's not that big of a deal until you can get to a point where you can take pics and vids in moonlight.

Putting the power button on the opposite side of the volume switches has to be one of the most boneheaded design decisions Apple has ever made. If I had a nickel for every time I've put my phone to sleep when trying to adjust the volume....

Just because Touch ID doesn't work for you doesn't mean that it's crap. Maybe I'm in the minority, but it works 99% of the time for me, so your "truth" isn't the truth.

It's the problem with carrying a big 'S'. Clark Kent had this problem, wearing another outfit under his journalist clothes made him look almost imperceptibly thicker. Many of normal clothes still actually fitted on the outside, but he had to blend his underwear with the costume, for comfort.

Any reason to upgrade to a thicker 6? Don't really care about spec upgrades, unless it will have a significant impact on how I can use the phone.

Hard to see what so great about force touch, might as well push for a longer time.

Force Touch adds more ways to use the screen, that's a pretty big feature that no one else does. Plus you completely left out the big jump for the camera sensor. 8 to 12mp and possible 4k video. And we have yet to see how big a jump the A9 will be. The A7 in the 5s compared to the A6 in the 5 was big.

That's plenty upgrades to offer over the current 6.

It´s the 5s crowd that is going to buy this one since their 24month contract is up so even if it´s a boring update for you ip6 owners it´s still quite the update for them..

Unless they are like me who thinks that a bigger phone is a downgrade..
