Is that enough to hide the protruding camera lens?

EXCELLENT question!!! =)

Yes!
Definitely.
I just measured my protruding camera lens... It's nowhere NEAR .2 millimeters.
I had to measure it in nanometers, it's such a small protrusion. Trust me.

I'm hoping that the new iOS brings ground breaking integration with force touch. Feel free to tell me I'm wrong since I'm not using the Beta, but perhaps the new keynote states that this will be groundbreaking in some way.

I'm doubting myself and ready to be flamed, but who knows...

Don't expect any great shakes in the 6S or 6S+ model and you won't be disappointed. Even Force Touch is not a must have feature. The new cameras will probably be more of a selling point

I'd do little research on the A9 and the new LTE Chip. ;) The camera is simply hype. The camera will have smaller pixels therefore relying more on noise reduction in lower light situations. I don't anticipate an increase in it's f/stop. I predict the same quality or worse in low light. The 6s will be one of the best mid cycle refreshes in a while. :apple:

Apple seems to be getting a little long in the tooth for me in the last year or two. The watch really didn't do it for me. The 6s isn't really doing it for me either. Maybe I'll just hold on to my 5S.

the 5S was truly a great device. I love it and wouldn't trade it for a larger screen. hardly fits in my pocket as is.

Should have a stronger case.

The back has been completely redesigned for additional rigidity. The series 7000 aluminum is just hype. It features a new "ribbed" pattern in the die that will stiffen the 6s+ considerably.
However, it most likely won't be enough to help the Bumble Brains who sit on their 6s+. But you never know. Petite individuals may be able to get away with such feats io dementia. :apple:

The 5S was great at the time, I used to have the same opinion as you that the 5S was as big as a phone should be, then I used a 6 for a month and after that I used a 6 Plus for a month. I decided to buy a 6 Plus and have never regretted it, you get used to the size really fast (pause).

Pretty much the only thing I'm holding out for with the 6s is the fabled new colour options, namely the black and rose gold/champagne gold colour option that has been floating around. If I'm gonna upgrade then I kinda want a different colour than my gold iPhone 6, but don't wanna just go for black.

Kinda like the "Look good first, finish last". I guess if looks are the only thing that matters, then you should.... never mind.

Seriously?

I'm still using a 5 since neither the 5s nor the 6 could tempt me:
  • 5s just added a useless fingerprint scanner (Police is legally allowed to force you to place your finger on it, because your finger isn't legally considered a password) and an ugly ring around the home button
  • 6 has an awful design (antenna bands, protruding camera, weird slippery and slightly too big form factors)
  • Both don't offer any discernible hardware improvements of the 5's hardware (RAM or CPU speed)
It's the same with my iPad Air. The second Air didn't offer anything worthy of an upgrade.

Anyway, I hope Apple tries a bit harder with the 7.

You, my friend, are in a boat that consist of the overwhelming minority. Sorry, but phone real estate (bigger than 5") is here to stay.

Hard to tell from the pics, but did Apple think to move the power button back to its original location? Putting the power button on the opposite side of the volume switches has to be one of the most boneheaded design decisions Apple has ever made. If I had a nickel for every time I've put my phone to sleep when trying to adjust the volume....

Sounds like someone got used to something, and will be damned if anyone changes what said person is used to.

I hav no problem with it being at least 0.77mm thicker

Yes, ergonomically it is an awful position, because most people tend to squeeze the phone as they touch either buttons. Not so much a case of "you're holding it wrong" more a case of "you're designing it wrong"

lol. but seriously. anytime you sit down, you have to pull the phone out. thats annoying.

less of a problem now w/ the watch - i can just leave my phone wherever and get my notifications to my wrist. so i might be upgrading. but before the 5, i always rode my bicycle with my phone in my pocket - even with the 5/5S i wasn't able to do that anymore.
