Please give it a rest, these issues started with products created or planned under Steve's - and for the 4 and 4S Scott's - watch.I miss the S&S&S (Steve, Scott and Slate color option).
hmmmm. Ive never heard of anyone ever having a problem and Ive been fixing iPhones since the 3G.
The power button worked a lot longer than two days, which is the baseline set nowadays by Samsung. So much for quality products everyday is a new story about faulty apple products...
It's the "California lawyers".I love how these “California citizens” always think they’re so entitled.
One of the many problems with lawsuits: even if you win, it's years later.

I did have this problem, and the phone fell under the recall but then they wouldn't fix it for some other reason which I forget now, it's been a while. (Maybe a glass crack so they couldn't open without replacing the glass, too?)
My mother-in-law inherited the phone and had to use the accessibility virtual buttons to get around it.
And even if you win, you get nothing.
What’s with the rest of the world, from a non american point of view.
So... this is peanuts for Apple.
If they lose, just the 10th+ number after the point on their bank account will change down. They won’t even notice...
Oh, so you ARE implying something.
Yes, it absolutely is location-based bias. I’m not trying to hide that from you. They’re a bunch of libs.
And what do you win anyways in a suit like this one? It's the lawyers who make out like bandits, the consumers maybe a little satisfaction years later and little else. Granted most consumers in a class action actually do little else other than join by signing a piece of paper or registering on a web site.
I never said I was offended... I was making the other person aware that they were contradicting themselves. For something like this, the remedy for the "victims" is typically a (small) gift certificate good against further Apple purchases.

You said something blatantly offensive-- and then you got offended yourself about something you thought was being implied? Did that really just happen?
Maybe, maybe not.The point of class action lawsuits isn't lawyers win, it is the evil company loses.
I agree, that is a lot. I have seen broken home buttons. But this is more specifically the Power button. Which I was lucky enough to not have to worry about fixing I guess hahaReally? Well, now you have, I am an IT Manager with about 30 people at the time and I would say we had 10 failed home buttons on the iPhone 4 and considering that not everyone had an iPhone, I would say that is a lot.
Yes, If i remember right, the speaker and mic were in the same housing and more people had problems with the mic, then the speaker itself. The speaker on my 4s stopped working...didn't that happen with quite a few of them..they sold a repair kit for it
so I assume it wasn't just me?
I do remember some stiff ones now that you say that. They would work but not the way they should! Had to push pretty hard.I personally had 2 different iPhone 4 models have the lock button get stiff and unusable. I also witness it in a friend's iPhone 4 as well.
Name a similar case that hurt the company. Class actions are almost always pointless. The point of class action lawsuits isn't lawyers win, it is the evil company loses.
For a class action settlement for something of this sort that's a decent amount.I received my settlement check today. $72. Not a huge amount but far more than most people were expecting.
My thanks to everyone that was eligible but didn't file a claim.
