You remind me of that annoying teacher's pet that nobody liked in school.Let me just first explain that it's "lose", not "loose". Sorry to be a grammar nazi, but I see far too many people not understand the difference. You lose something, you don't loose it.
Also, I most certainly have problems with the new MacBook Pro and some of the things Apple has done, but they are real, legitimate things. And I'm not using the loss of a startup chime as an indication of anything except that they felt it unnecessary.
If you're going to complain about thing Apple is doing, talking about their "idiosyncrasies" is melodrama.
Maybe you should understand that most people DO understand the difference, but couldn't give a flying u know wot, about wether ur gramatikal sensitivitys r impinged upon.

Like you, the chime to me is not a huge loss, but the point was about it showing up a pattern that Apple's been in.
