They put so much effort to move the antenna bands, yet they cannot even color match it to the body. Those thick white bands are seriously fugly. It destroys the supposedly classy look of the gold and rose-gold colors. The only "okay" one is the space grey, but that's because they bothered to color it.

It's as if the actual design team are completely off and doing their own thing (presumably the 10th anniversary iPhone), and left this to the interns. So the best thing they can do is to just move the current antenna bands since they don't have a say in any major redesign.

Fake or not, iPhone 7 is an easy pass for me. I'll pick up a used one down the road once people start dumping them because they hate that there's no headphone port. There's just zero reason to purchase the new device given next year's will have a ton of new features. This one is more or less the 6SE.

Pipeline of subtle innovation.
Oops, that was 2013, same year as the geriatric, magic trash can.

Its not '98 any more, don't expect a revolutionary hardware design. This product is pretty much as hit its extreme maturity. You won't see jumps like from the Pismo to the Titanium PowerBook or original iMac to the lamp iMac.

But there is leaps and bounds of innovation that can happen in the software. You can extremely improve Apple's retarded GUI of iOS and App Store. Its extremely confusing, just compare it to the original iLife suite and you will know what I mean.

The first year in a long while I'll be passing on getting a new iPhone. I'll stick with my 6S Plus for another year.

This is what I said exactly, last year. And still love my launch day 6 plus very much. So much it will be my first iPhone I ever kept for 3 years lol

2 speakers give fuller bass

So it's all about that bass, huh?

Mind explaining the physics behind this? I'm not quite sure how the presence of a second speaker improves the bass, especially if there isn't room for a larger driver, or resonating chamber.

How can a phone produce stereo sound if the speakers are few inches away from each other...? Two speakers won't be there to introduce stereo sound, it can only make the phone play sounds louder.
It can’t but I’m betting that if this is what they actually release, the definition of stereo sound will be stretched/blurred by Phil, Can’t wipe/innovate my ass, Schiller.

That protruding camera is getting even worse by getting bigger and lacking the silver bezel...
I prefer it. Might even buy one.

I don't get why people care about this. Either the new phone has something that makes you want to upgrade or it doesn't. And if it does who cares if it looks similar to last years phone? To me people wanting everyone to know they have latest and greatest is just plain vanity.

For me if the only thing about this phone is a better camera and no headphone jack I'll keep my 6S another year.

Never thought I'd agree so heartily with one of Apple's most ardent sycophants.
You're showing signs of growth Rogifan - well done.

I think many fail to analyze the fundamental shift going on in Apple's Business Model. Apple has been, and is accelerating to a Services Based Model. We should no longer view Apple's Hardware as always being out front, cutting edge technology every update.

Apple Hardware will progress as their Software/Services demand. Be it Personal or Enterprise. While we have grown accustomed to a certain pattern over the years, those days are gone. Period. You will see the "Apple Phone" move to a 3 year redesign starting next year (smart move IMO.)

As Apple's iPhone revenue becomes less of a stalwart source these (iPhone 7) type of releases will be further apart and less earth moving. Apple Hardware will in some ways stay the same. High Quality, Well Designed Internal Architecture, Long Life, and Expensive. Just keeping up with Apple's Ecosystem.

If you want to stay in Apple's Ecosystem and have an old iPhone you want to replace, the 7 will be more than you "actually need." Now, when it come to what people "Think they Need in Hardware" Apple is not interested. You either stay with Apple and use what they offer to utilize their Services, or you don't. It's really that simple. :apple:

Nonsense. They want cutting edge everything on their products and they've often attained it - best screen (early retina), best camera, best build quality (4 and 5), best touch-ID sensor.

Right now they're lagging behind on camera (low light issues mainly), waterproof/toughness and screen tech. The latter being the biggest issue; but they will most likely jump onto AMOLED when they're happy with the colours and longevity, probably next year for the iPhone8.

I don't think the 7 is deliberately lacking in ambition, they just couldn't get the OLED/edge to edge design ready for this year and have given themselves more time. This is why people opining that Apple are moving to a 3 year design cycle is most likely wrong.

Here's a clearer picture on why you might not need to upgrade to the iPhone 7 even though you typically upgrade.

That protruding camera border, bah! Why not add a bit of thickness, which would allow for a bigger battery too?

Wow. You are the first person on the internet with that opinion. Genius.

while samsung is bringing in iris scanning recognition.
but is that technology actually better than fingerprint for the end user? Samsung have introduced lots of technology that sounds clever but doesn't really answer a problem.

it is fake for 100% , why camera reflection is same pattern as ground? it you be ceiling or sky same goes for apple logo reflection.

for more experts there are other stuff that proof it is Photoshoped like brightness and resolution of phone and guys hand :)

Ugly protruding cameras are here to stay! Yay ._.

I agree the protruding camera is super ugly and makes the phone wobble on a desk.

However, I heard a good explanation the other day. With the protruding camera, the camera lens doesn't touch the surface of whatever you put it on, instead the metal ring around it does. So the lens is protected from scratches this way. With a totally flush lens, the lens itself will touch flat surfaces and might get scratched.

Still, I think protruding lens is so ugly its not worth it, even if offers better protection. An even better protection would be a slightly intruding lens, by like 1/10 of a mm would be enough.
