On the bottom of: https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT204054 Apple will replace the battery if it does not retain 80% of its original capacity while under warranty. My guess though is that the 16" has an issue reporting its proper capacity to macOS.

It's not so true at all. It depends.

Battery warranty information
Your Apple One Year Limited Warranty includes replacement coverage for a defective battery. If you purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan for your Mac notebook, Apple will replace the notebook battery at no charge if it retains less than 80 percent of its original capacity. If you don't have coverage, you can have the battery replaced for a fee.

I use my MacBook Pro 16 (2019) with two external monitors. I discharge my battery once a week down to 30%. My battery Manufacture is Simplo.

It's the same with Simplo batteries. Do you use external monitor/s ? I'm trying to figure out Is it related to GPU usage when there is external monitor connected to our macbooks.

My year old 16" MBP has a DSY battery with 53 cycles and is at 98%. I usually have it plugged in when using.

It may be related. Under heavy load, the 16 can use over 100 watts for brief periods and I assume that extra wattage comes from the battery. That said, to what extent is 'normal' I cannot say

pretty much yes, I use it with an external monitor but I first plug in the power to tell the system where it should get the charge from and then the monitor using usb-c

either way I get 1h 45 min on battery for a 4000€ laptop it’s a joke

after 1 year old.is it normal?

I wouldn't be happy with this. That's a lot of wear and tear for 1 year. Now, my wife's laptop was similar to this - she dropped below 79% after 2.5 years - but she uses her laptop HEAVILY.

Do you have AppleCare+?

My wife's laptop finally says: Service Battery so we're looking to get that done soon (AppleCare+ expires next year early).

Hey, all. I'm down to 7784 mAh (88.6%) after just 4 months of use (57 cycles).

This is the model with the Radeon Pro 5600M 8 GB (HBM) card. 2.4 GHz 8-Core i9, 32 GB memory, 2 TB NVMe SSD.

I drain the battery at least once a week. Most of the time it's connected to a 4K monitor and I'm using the 16" laptop screen as well.

Independently with losing 12% capacity in 4 months (57 cycles), I've been disappointed with the battery life of this Mac. Any have similar experiences?

13 months old, pretty light usage, no external monitor.

The worst the battery has been down to is 88%. But now it has been hovring at 96-98% after using Al Dente with a charge limit between 50-75% since 6 months back.👍
