Cold-Display-Unresponsiveness is driving me CRAZY!

If the problem was hardware it would likely be very consistent in behavior. however if you read the reports it's not always about getting cold. The problem also arises when going from a cold environment to a hot environment (rapidly) A software action like locking the phone and unlocking wouldn't fix a hardware issue on it's own.

Locking and unlocking doesn’t fix anything- at least not for me!

And that's not what bricking a phone means either. Bricking is where the entire device is permanently rendered useless because of software or hardware problem . The dislay not reacting to Touch variable based on the conditions. For some, it's a problem and others it's not.

That's pretty much the accepted definition. The word has surely been misused by being used in all kinds of situations that aren't quite fitting, similar to let's say the word "literally" being misused in a similar way.

You're insinuating I spoke for everyone, when in fact, I did not, nor did I imply 'Everyone'. I simply was correcting your misconception based off what you claimed was bricking, contrary to what it actually does mean when a device is no longer is usable due to a software or hardware related failure . Feel free to reread your previous post in comparison to what you stated was inaccurate. Nor do you have to agree with my Rendition either, even though that's what it means for the sake of discussion, it's just you want to argue semantics.
