nothing to see..yahoo sports...LOL

The guys at Yahoo Sports area actually the ones we can credit with destroying the BCS, but I agree that nothing will ever come of this. The bigger the smoking gun, the more likely it is we'll see change in policy before actual punishment of a marquee program.

nothing to see..yahoo sports...LOL

Yahoo probably has one of the best (if not the best) investigative sports reporting around.

As a Michigan State Spartan fan, I just can't understand how MSU has attracted zero viable options since Kirk Cousins was on campus. The defense has more TDs than the offense through two games - that has to be a record or close to it. Rotating in 3 QBs means you have no QB. No one has been impressed to date and would like to toss in the true freshman.

This week should be a joke against FCS competition, but beginning next week vs. Notre Dame, I feel like this will be a very long year. Might need to turn into a Northwestern fan for them to win the division.

---

SEC stuff: Glad Florida lost - overrated, but 15 is probably too high for Miami.

Go A&M, but I wouldn't be shocked if Alabama wins - and perhaps big. Beating Saban twice in a row is tough.

I think UGAs 3 running back combo is the best in all of college football. Watching that game against SC this past weekend made me so happy we finally snapped that 3 year losing streak to the Gamecocks. I was watching the game and I had just tweeted "I see a change in momentum in this game (for SC) and right after I sent the tweet we botched that punt snap and SC scored on the next play. Made me so mad. But with Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall, Brendan Douglas (where the hell did he come from? He straight up ran over people on Saturday), and Quayvon Hicks (God thats a sexy face mask) I think we have the running game covered. I dont know what it is but UGA can always get some amazing running backs and QBs. At QB we've had David Greene, DJ Shockley, Matt Stafford, and now Aaron Murray. I think those are all of the starting QBs since around 2001. Greene til 04, Shockley til 05, Stafford til 08, and now Murray. Sad to see Greene never played in the NFL, though he was drafted. Such a great college career. For RBs weve had Knowshon Moreno, Isaiah Crowell, Todd Gurley, Keith Marshall, and cant forget Herschel Walker. And we've landed another top 10 recruit at RB already for next year if im not mistaken.

Back to the current season though, I think we can win out honestly. Our offense is good enough to beat anyone in the nation in my opinion. The defense is still lacking though. Fuccing Langley at CB. I know he is just a freshman but I swear to god if I see hime get absolutely burnt on another pass I will lose it. Both Clemson and SC burnt him so many times. That total could be a lot higher if passes were accurate and if it wasnt for the sun in the SC game. WRs everywhere are making this kid look so so bad. I think the only team left on our schedule that has a chance at beating us is LSU. Im interested to see how our D will hold up in that game. I thought Florida would have a chance but after watching them embarrass themselves against Miami, my mind has been put at ease for a moment. It is the SEC though and UGA always seems to play close games against all SEC opponents in the last few years from Mizzou to Vandy to UTK. Never know what can happen. Although I am pretty confident against everyone this year that we have left in the SEC except LSU. Also, watch out for GT. They always seem to have a good running attack and I was watching something the other day that said they were the most underrated team in the ACC. I love college football though. My favorite sport of all.

My predictions for this weekend
(1)Alabama at (6)Texas A&M
Tennessee at (2)Oregon
Vanderbilt at (13)South Carolina
(16)UCLA at (23)Nebraska
Mississippi State at Auburn
(25)Ole Miss at Texas
(4) Ohio State at Cal
(7) Louisville at Kentucky

I think thats all of the major games this weekend from what I can see. Im excited to see Bama at A&M. I think its going to be a really good game, really close back and forth. Im not excited to see all of the Jonny Maziel crap though. All of those cameras on one player, come on? I mean he is a good QB but I think there are QBs out there that are just as good as him; maybe not as versatile, but just as good (McCarron, Murray, Bridgewater, Boyd). Oregon will put up 28 by halftime against UTK. Im choosing Texas over Ole Miss but if Texas allows Ole Miss to run like BYU then they will lose for sure. Nebraska over UCLA. Dont know why, I dont watch either team. The rest of the games are pretty much givens to me.

Whew, that was long winded and I just kept rambling and still am. Hooray Adderall:D:D:D

I will stop now.

EDIT: After reading the thread a little bit, Im glad UGA isnt in the headlines this year for stupid ****. Isaiah Crowell, Im talking to you.

tOSU has scored 21 points in the first few minutes of their game vs Cal.

I think Braxton Miller's job as QB is truly threatened, Kenny Guiton is pretty damn amazing.

No way. It's still Braxton's job, but yes, Guiton is amazing. Game is starting to worry me now. 21-0 to 24-14 just in the first quarter.

Can't tell if Alabama/A&M was mostly fueled by amazing offense, terrible defense, or a healthy dose of both. Probably the last one.

That was one helluva game to watch, though. For those that were there in person, I'm pretty jealous.

On another note, can anyone keep Oregon under 50? Stanford?

Sounds about right…except it will be Bama making the mistakes (I hope). Hope you have a great time in College Station.

First let me start this by saying my time in College Station was amazing! But after the long drive back home it feels so wonderful typing this while laying on my couch. Also the people were so nice to me and my fiancé. We were able to attend the Midnight Yell and that was just an awesome experience. I can go on and on about the experience but I can't say enough nice this about the fans and students and how helpful they were.

On a side note I would like to thank the family that gave us a ride to the stadium. They saw us walking and they just rolled down the windows and said hope on in. A nice elderly couple that had reserved parking (I guess) and we parked maybe a block or so away from the stadium.

ROLL TIDE ROLL!!!! As we talked about it came down to the mistakes and THANK GOD it wasn't Bama this year. I'm not a fan of Manziel as a person(his attitude) but as a football player I'm now a fan. That kid has moves and is able to create a play out of nothing. Not sure if this means anything but I'm now a fan of A&M. I can go on and on but I'm tired and I'm taking a nap.. Roll Tide

Like I said in a earlier post, I don't trash talk that much but I had to post these. The last 2 are gifs

wow wow wow did the badgers get SCREWED last night  At this level of college football that kind of incompetent officiating should not be happening. Their season is all but ruined because of a terribly officiated ending. Sad. This is why I don't really watch much college football anymore. It almost seems like the fix is already in. The SEC is expected to be on top. Yes they are able to "recruit" great talent but the games also happen to just "go there way" conveniently. Yes I know ASU isn't an SEC team but I am just making a point.

Glad you had a good time. Fun game, didn't want it to end. You were dead right about the mistakes. Ags made one more than Bama and it cost them the game.

I laughed about Yeldon's trash talk celebration; Ol' Saban wasn't happy about it, though. Wonder if ESPN will annihilate him for taunting the opposing team and "walking past his coach" after he got a 15-yard penalty. Doubt they even mention it, though.

Well after a much needed nap i was able to watch the game on my dvr. I was ready for the game to end ASAP :)! It was a game of 3 main mistakes. 2 int's by maziel,1 for a pick 6 (not his fault) and the fumble by Yeldon. A great back and forth game. Manziel could of thrown to #13 Evans all day if he wanted to.

1 key factor about the game that not many people are talking about was the tempo of the game. Bama was able to sustain LONG drives and keep A&M's defense on the field. Which in turn forced A&M to slow down their offense to try and get their D some much need rest, which played in Bama's favor BIG.

That was a dumb penalty by Yeldon and I am curious what Saban said to him.

I highly doubt the games are fixed. The SEC is just overall a better conference than any other conference. It's just a much more physical conference. Can you point out any games that have "gone their way?" Any bowl games or national championships? I cant think of any games in the last few years where SEC teams have been helped by the refs (if thats what youre implying). Now I have seen some absolutely terrible calls that ultimately changed the game but that was between two SEC schools. Also, usually the refs officiating the games are out of conference refs. Neither from the SEC nor whichever conference theyre playing. Yes the SEC is expected to be on top because of the powerhouse teams in the conference but watch the national title game this year. Oregon will make it and they will give whoever they play a good run for their money. The only team I can see beating them is probably Bama. Even then, Oregon could definitely beat Bama. Nobody in the SEC has seen that kind of offense especially with the amount of talent Oregon has.

Pretty sure Bama just saw the best offense in the nation and, while their defense was absolutely shredded, they did just enough to get out of there with the win.

Oregon could definitely give the Tide a run for their money right now, but things always look a lot different at the end of the season than they do at the beginning. Let's not count out LSU, either. Their defense is faster than Bama's, so they may be better equipped to slow down A&M- and Oregon-type offenses.

I would say Bama just saw the best QB in the nation, not offense. No one can beat Oregon's offense in terms of talent, speed, and efficiency.

If Bama plays sloppy defense like they did vs. A&M, Oregon would score 50+ in a blink of an eye.

PAC-12 apologized and said the refs would be sanctioned in some way.

The game should just be vacated. Unsure if the NCAA has the attachments needed to do that though.

Mike Evans is better than anyone Oregon has and A&M's offensive line is great, too. I'm not taking anything away from the Ducks, but A&M's offense is better.

So those were Pac-12 refs? Shameful.

I will say, however, that Wisconsin's offense showed no haste to getto the line and reset. It you rematch the play, they were still at standing around when the clock was at 0:04. This one's on the refs, sure, but Wisconsin didn't help themselves at all, either.

Fixed that for ya :p

I'm just wondering on the evidence you have that the University or some from the University pays these players. Key words are FROM the UNIVERSITY

Boosters make donations and it's the boosters that are in question ( so please don't make that argument )
