See he wasnt telling people when it came out, he was asking a QUESTION.....trying to get people talking.....seeing what they thought of the recent developments....and you can say "well theres 500 threads already on this subject", and your right.....but this is a new day and new things have come to light so I think its worth being discussed.....
And my opinion is that it will be released this weekend, just a guess but from what we heard in the interview and if the DM is true i see no reason it wont be...if its not ill continue to wait patiently and if it is released ill have an even better weekend.....
But the when will it be out question has been discussed for 5 weeks Ad nauseum.
People are very tired of it. That is why it gets the reaction it does.
3 weeks ago, people might have joined in, not so now.
But we are on the brink of release. I would think it would be more hotly discussed topic now, more than ever.
I think that JB info is as plentiful on the internet as porn is. If you Google it, 10 bazillion hits come up. And if you don't see a JB for your device & OS, then it can't possibly have been released to the general public.
If people wouldn't be so obsessed with hunting down tweets, messages, & every little bit of info about progress on the JB, then people wouldn't be making so many posts & new threads. For those that are constantly checking every source out there, get some sleep. There is nothing those people can do to hurry the process along, & bitching about it only pisses off those that are working on it. When it is released, info will flood the 'net, so no one will miss anything.

And according to a new thread every hour or so, we've been on the brink of a release for 4 weeks now (at least in the minds of those making these new threads about an impending release)
I totally agree with what you and dhlizard are saying. I think what it comes down to is some people, including myself, enjoy the thrill of being the first to get new info or whatever. And when we think we found new info our first reaction is to come share it. In this case most of that news has been bull and i can see why that would get annoying. Some people can sit back and wait checking every other day or so and others enjoy checking the news outlets for any piece of news. Niether is right or wrong just preference.
And some experience in the jailbreak community helps you see what could be true and what cannot be true. Also, desperation makes some believe in any little window of hope, regardless of how ridiculous it is.

Your right....but experience comes over time. Can't expect everyone to be on the same level. Plus we are all here for the same reason, if this stuff doesn't get u excited you wouldn't be here.

You are correct, however, that the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States of America, as incorporated into the Fourteenth Amendment, guarantees only that government agencies cannot abridge your freedom of speech; nothing in the First Amendment requires private individuals to provide you a forum for your speech.

I promised myself I wouldn't reply to people who are clearly just stirring the pot, but in this case I have to. You are the reason that people think that jailbreaking is all about piracy, not about taking control of one's device.

Also, I have a feeling it's coming out tomorrow. Saurik is done with his part and the team has been very quiet the last day or so. I could be completely wrong like the last 10 times, but the only way we'll know is to see. No one's estimates, including mine, matter...lol. But if I'm right, I'm gonna make a new thread about how I'm the Greatest iPhone Jailbreak Release Estimator in history.
