Now, we all see the "elders" posting here. :D

Man, it's gonna be first day purchase for me too ! I had hundreds of games for it, including all shown in the video !

Like at least two people said here, we would probably all be on Amiga today if it weren't for Commodore. Man, even Steve Jobs was interested !

For the newbies, while the first Macintoshs were barely out with gray UI and PC's were on a pseudo MS-DOS text base screen, Amiga had these games. Think about how much ahead of its time it was !

Great memories ! Definitely a winner, especially on iPad !

The first and only valid reason to buy an iDevice. :D

Oh...and as I see there are few real hardcore Shoot 'em up-Fans here.

Xenon2 was cool...

...but how come nobody here mentions

BLOOD MONEY

Heck, this has to be the hardest SEU of all time. Had a great time with it...

Can someone p lease tell me the name of that game from the first picture? I remember playing that on one of those tabletop arcade machines as a kid. Brings back memories.,,

Shadow of the Beast. 12 or 13 levels of parallax scrolling - which was just amazing for it's day.

Cheers,

Stu

Eh. Blood Money had that awesome intro, and it was ok, but I think Menace, which came before it, was a better shooter.

blakespot

I used to have an actual MM standup arcade

Dude! I have a Joust machine, and it NEEDS a Marble Madness to keep it company some day. Emulators just don't cut it. I'd even be happy with an old Amiga with nothing else, but the original arcade cab would be sweet!

gamepad

Apple needs a bluetooth gamepad in the worst way...platform games are unplayable otherwise, in my opinion.

Better yet, enabled pairing with the Sony PS3 Dualshock...done deal! :)

four little words: Sensible World of Soccer!!!! - the best football game ever! - fingers crossed this makes it to the iPhone/iPad :)

Awesome idea, but might be a bit hard on the eyesight!

I had an Amiga 1200, dutifully kitted out with a ridiculously expensive 68060 upgrade... Amiga tided me over the PC days until I was able to afford my own Mac. So for sparing me Windows I am eternally grateful.

Wow it looks like an excellent emulation!

I still have my A1000 stored away somewhere.

Shadow of the Beast was on of my favorites, but hell, it was too hard even with a good Wico Joystick, I never got to the end. It would be impossible on touch screen.

I was also a big fan of Speedball, which I thought no one else ever heard of....

Speedball is coming to the ipad and iPhone anyway!

I too would love to see an Amiga emulator. I cant wait to play my favorite Cinemaware games. I just hope they bring an ipad version too.

Wowwwwwwww! Awesome!!!! Memories memories...So many games I have played when i was a kid on my Atari 520stf.
I can't wait! Speedball!!! The stunt car racer circuits :D and defender of the crown was a must at that time...same with IK+ as a fight game. I still remember how my whole hand, thumbs were blasted...:p:D joysticks, I miss you.

Lemmings 1 and 2
Rick Dangerous
Lotus 3
UN Squadron
Rodlands
Fury of the Furries
Bubba n Stix
James Pond 2 Robocod
Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis (first game to absolutely make me s**t scared)
Deluxe Paint 3 :D

Blood Music's OST was superb. The game wasn't so great if I recall, but I still have the soundtrack on my iTunes library.
Us Amiga users were spoilt for music. We really were. 4-16 channel modules (thanks Huelsbeck for TFMX).

Awesome. Those were the days although I was an Atari ST man :D

Ironic that Virus is on there since that started out on the Acorn Archimedes with it's ARM cpu!

I would really like Phantasie III on my iPhone. It would be perfect with touch controls.

Actually, I want all the SSI Games.

How hard could it be?

Mmmmmmmmmm

Starglider 2.... The only version that got the sound awesomely right....

Carrier Command anyone?

and yet no mention of - Alien Breed. Although, I'm not sure how that'll play on this little touch screen.

Frontier will be interesting on this though, as will Epic.

Zool might play nicely if the controls are solid enough.
