I had to do the same thing, and was expecting my card that was on file would have sufficed. Maybe it's just an extra precaution with all of this hectic traffic. Still, it was a bit odd, but I did get it to go through. Now I'm just waiting on the confirmation email...
 
Does anyone know how to change the shipping info for apple orders? It wouldn't let me edit the name being shipped 2. Not a big deal but just curious
 
Should I be worried that verizon hasn't even put a hold on my account yet? I ordered online the iphone 6 plus 64 gb silver. I have a confirmation number on the page, just nothing in my email yet which I know can take up to 24 hours, but I kind of expected something from my bank account. A hold or something.
 
No email confirmation from AT&T yet, but I did notice they have a $1.00 pending charge on my card...that's good news, right?
 
Can't get through

I've been on the Apple site since 11:50 and it still isn't up. I tried Verizon and got an error message when I tried to order. I'm about to give up and stick with my 5S! The same people who botched the release must be running the store tonight. :(
 
Ordered 16GB Silver 6 Plus from Apple app. FINALLY just now went through! Stupid question...I can call Apple in the morning and have them change the shipping address, right? I did change it in my settings, but apparently it didn't take. At least I did get it in time for delivery in ONE WEEK!!!
 
Woohoo! AT&T 64GB 6+ (silver). Now for sleep :)

FYI this was through iPad app.
 
Received the "Your order is being processed" confirmation email.

Ordered via iPad app at 3:45 AM after about 35 attempts with "Currently unavailable" for any combination of the 6+.

Use the app on your iPhone.
 
Got confirmation for a iPhone 6 16GB Space Gray through AT&T.

Can't seem to get the App on the iPad or iPhone to work right, says Unavailable for all combinations. And AT&T says 14-21 ship days for the 6+ so stuck right now waiting. :(

You should be fine since you have the order confirmation number.

They always lagged with the emails.
 
I originally ordered through AT&T but don't have much confidence that order went through. No email, no pending charge on my AMEX, and searching for the order on AT&T shows nothing.

So, I got through with the iPad Apple Store app with little trouble. It still let me upgrade so I'm thinking the AT&T order was lost or didn't go through. Not sure if I have two open orders. If so I'll cancel the AT&T one since the Apple one shows 9/19 delivery date. Wanted to order a case but the app was so sluggish I figured I should order the phone now and worry about a case when the dust settles a bit next week. Probably don't really want an Apple case long-term anyway.

Never got apple store on mac to load via Safari, did get AT&T to load though after I used the app.
 
I finally got through to apple store app. Ordered my phone and went to cart and got a "sorry we had to remove the phone from your cart. Sorry for any inconvenience". I got upset but ignored it because it still showed the phone in my cart. It went through and sent an email saying it will be delivered Oct 1-6. So I'm good right ?
 
3:34 am got my wife's 6 64gb Silver and 3:41 am got my 6 64gb Grey. Wife first of course. Used Apple Store App.
 
Ahhh man this reminds me of when the 5 preorders were being taken. Verizon seems to be the most reliable these last two times. Just got a silver 64g 6 through Verizon, quick and easy.

How are you guys getting this to work? Mine just shows Unavailable for every carrier in every size.
