Yes, I owned one for over half a year. Its was much thinner then the BEASTLY UNGODLY THICK 4S I'm using now. Due to its design the edges were around the same as the iPhone 5 and thickest part only 8.3mm.

I see what you did there at the end. You took your lack of common sense and actual knowledge of the devices and tried to spin it around on me. Touche.

8,3mm !!!

You know the thickness of the 6 right?

6,9mm

Again your maths letting u down!

That's 1,4mm thinner than the Note.

Your bias is showing.

I see i am biased because i believe CS is a credible entity .. And also believe that this Canadian dude bending about 4 thousand dollor worth phones in a matter of 48 hours out of the goodness of his heart is a phony !
No Sir i am not biased ... But experienced enough not be naive !

I think you may be a bit confused.

Anyway, the centre of the phone is actually not that far from the bottom volume button. We need to conduct some mathematical inquiry. Specicially in regard to:

1. How much weaker is that weak spot, assuming it's weaker using some number factor to represent this;
2. Obtain a coefficient of how much more force needs to be applied to the weak area, if any, by x intervals (0.01 cms) from c (centre point)... +/- output whether it's more or less force; and
3. Run a calculation that will output whether the area of weakness offsets any increase in force needed to be applied to that area of the phone to deform it being farther from the centre.

Actually the bottom volume button is is about 1/3 of the way from the top. While the center is the center.

And instead of doing all of that, how about people just use their phones normally, and stop trying to bend it?

Again, if ANYONE is posting anything, please include a little * at the bottom of your message indicating whether or not you own a 6+ yourself and have used it day-in and day-out.

People watching these videos, believing what are merely hypotheses, and who have NOT handled the phone really have no idea what they are talking about.

If you've handled the phone, own it, and it bent, then I'd love to hear your opinion. But everyone else is getting a little carried away with their blind guesses.

Really. Go into an Apple store and handle the phone. I am pretty sure if you are reasonable you will come to the conclusion I have.

And where is the hate for the HTC One M8? That performed the worst of all the phones in the CR test.

Sometimes people have spare income. And the guy probably has plenty of that after 38 million views.

I am not saying that he's more trustworthy than CS, but just because he's against Apple in this case doesn't make him 'bribed'.

Someone is definitely sponsoring his purchases.

Bet the reason is just for the sake of science..

Spot On - 6 is 50% weaker than 5S

I don't get it. The iPhone 6 is still about half as strong (70 to 130) as the other "non premium" & cheap phones. And we are all happy about it?

Consumer report not as bendable as thought, I thought 50% was much more bendable than I thought when I saw the video. Note: the blocks are the same spacing for each test so they are comparing Apple's with Apple's with Samsung with LG...sorry couldn't resit the pun.:)

I wanted to see this guy from Unboxing Therapy letting one of his followers to the same test..

Perhaps one of these fandroids standing behind him?

Will he my ass!!

The word to answer that is not allowed on this forum.

Encouraging and supporting disinformation!

You've attacked many other members of this forums, so don't be shy. I can take it. You've already broken every forum rule, why stop now?

Don't get so bent out of shape and frantic. It's only a phone and I'm pretty sure you aren't related to anyone at Apple, so try to chill.

Interesting how Consumer Reports makes reference to the youtube guy as one of the originators of the controversy, and yet CR conveniently omits the Moto X in their testing, the one phone 'Unbox Therapy' finds unbendable.

While it may be arguable that Moto X is not mainstream, neither is Note, nor HTC's phones, and yet it seems to me a Moto X reference would be very valuable to have, to know the max range of durability possible.

… Every person in this thread has contributed to the ramblings of a hysterical mob. Nothing any of us said here will contribute to anything useful whatsoever: our posts do little more than add to a growing tumor made of blathered nonsense.

Not every.

Most posts appear to be rushed (I was guilty of that) or repetitive, but some of the posts do make sense.

I'll assume that a relatively large and thin iPhone 6, or 6 Plus, will be more fragile than my refurbished early iPhone MB213B.

I have only confronted those who are clearly here to spread disinformation.

But i have tried to avoid breaking the rules.

U seem to be pretty sure of things u have no way of knowing ;)

I don't understand why everyone is celebrating. Out of all of the phones they tested, the iPhone 6/Plus are noticeably weaker than all of them apart from the HTC ONE. How is that a victory for Apple?

1) Samsung Galaxy Note 3 - 150 lbs
2) LG G3 - 130 lbs
3) iPhone 5 - 130 lbs
4) iPhone 6 Plus - 90 lbs
5) iPhone 6 - 70 lbs

6) HTC ONE (M8) - 70lbs

And english is letting you down.

Its obnoxious you can't stay on topic with our discussion but I will persevere!! Lol

You criticized someone for exaggerating bending force lbs. Then you refer to the Note 3 as "beast of a phone thick". That is an obvious exaggeration because the Note 3 has never had a stigma for being overly thick by any reviewer or owner. That is what is referred to as hypocrisy and is why I called you out on it. Follow?

Is the iPhone thinner? Yes, of course it is. However you bringing that up is changing the topic be are discussing.

I know its tough for you since you are battling everyone else in this thread and English is likely not your first language but try to keep up.

Guarantee all the apple fans now love consumer reports after swearing to never read them again after they claimed the iPhone 4 had a faulty antenna.

Just like pretty much all fandrodids hate them now, after touting them to be the most trustworthy and credible during the antenagate drama. You know what am saying, it's a 2 sidet coin;)

If you read my first post on this thread as a response to bookbook ..
U will see my reasoning based on facts.. Not my belief !
