They were fine back then, because Jobs would never do that. Under Tim, things has changed. I am 100% certain Apple is paying media to back them up.

9 complains so far? Who believe that, there are far more bent cases that were not complained. Apple like to artificially lower the number just toke them looks good. Apple is the biggest liar in the planet.

What a collection of BS you wrote...
I'm quite bored by those "Steve wouldn't do that...", because that's just plain false. Apple did wrong also with Jobs, several times because no-one is perfect, and the whole iPhone 4 antenna drama took place under Steve's direction.
Apple is paying who? Apple doesn't need to pay media. Their products are selling by themselves, in millions.
The bent cases are more on YouTube than in real life, and in that case you can be sure that some are really fake sponsored...

Calculating using physics it would be impossible to replicate the same bend he has if his phone was so deep in his pocket.

His phone would have to be protruding out of his pocket to create some kind of leverage.

As I said before try bending a phone in one point by putting the phone between two books and pressing on both books Very hard if not impossible.

That's what's happening I his pocket.
On one side the phone supported by his leg and on the other side the material from his pants.

----------

The opposite my friend.

CR place the load in the middle on all phones.

If they were to put the load on the iPhone's weak point they would have to do the same and place the load on all phones weak point.

They would all fail same way.

There's no phone without weak points

If you don't want to understand just shows how dumb u must be

You and your bloody physics. Did you take a course in it when you were 14 (i.e. last year) or something? You have no idea what you're talking about, give it a rest. I don't think theres a bending problem either but jesus man, you're making yourself sound like a real moron now.

Consumer Reports: iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus Not as Bendable as Believed

Apple are so paying the media that they all ran the bending story last week.

They have to pay more me thinks!

I'm a structural engineer.

Design bridges...

What do u do for a living to question my physics???

My degree was mechanical engineering then I did post grad stuff in environmental technology, now I work with power generation systems. But that's irrelevant.

What bridges have you designed? Actually, don't answer that, I don't really care.

It's Sunday. Go play in the park with your buddies or something.

Nothing...

...wrong with the IP6 or 6+ that can't be corrected by reprogramming the software to correct the human defect/lack of common sense in the daily use. :D

You're telling me I'm fantasying but you find it perfectly normal there's a website that counts the 9 phones that have been bent?

You don't find it at all odd someone went to the trouble of creating a domain and taking the time to getting all bent iPhones out of 10M sold?

if this is not an orchestrated campaign then I don't know what it is.

Have we all go mad?

Yes, I believe you are seeing individuals doing things, and in your mind sticking them together, and imagining there is some evil master at the heart of it all.

Samsung had not yet even done anything have they?

If I was them, I'd be putting together adverts, showing Apple phones bending next to my Samsung products not bending. Side by side comparisons.

iPhone 6+ / Galaxy Note4

Not biased, just the same test to show consumers the difference.

I would expect Samsung to do this.

And why not, if you have any product, that is better than a major brand you are competing against, why not show and demonstrate for potential buyers in what ways your product may be the better choice for them?

Giving consumers information, so they are more able to make a informed choice is always a good thing isn't it?

Individuals spending their own money and time creating websites...

Right....

What's the objective?

----------

Tell you what, I'm gonna create a website with the 9999991/ 9 that don't have a bend on them...

You have no idea just how much many people around the world despise Apple do you?

Hate the way it controls markets, hate the way is it has harmed the computing world, hate the way it's killed innovation in general.

Even myself, I would say Steve Jobs as an individual has done more harm to the progress of computing on the planet than anyone else in it's short history.

Look closely at the hit Samsung will have on profits and then come back and tell us who had an interest in this smear campaign

this bend-gate has gone so far that i ve become confused in my own comments...

diagrams

videos

(even my diagrams, that maybe because i made them at night contain some errors too )

those things just show an only thing

if someone tries to crush his new device he can make it and maybe make some money out of his subscriber ads

if someone has the same device in the pocket maybe he can crush it too intentionally at the sake of making gym with a 1000 dollars device in your pocket (well who doesn't make it)

at the opposite if happens that you crush it without an express desire, apple provides a replacement

There should be no fuzz if this was not a successful phone from the start, and the competition hasn't make decent phones from ages (actually they spend most of the time just putting togheter ideas more confused and incoherent than my late night ones )

The Ford ignition key problem has killed at least 20 people, yet Ford won't be substantially affected.

I'm fairly certain that the 'ignition key problem' that you mentioned is with GM vehicles, not Ford, which actually proves your point about public perception.

Please understand.

I don't approve of any smear campaighn

I hated all the 60+ (count them over SIXTY) Anti PC Adverts Apple made that were negative and distorting the truth.

I like clear demonstrations of differences between products.

So yes, show me two cars, similar size, shape, engine etc, and crash them into the same wall and show me which one protects the passengers better.
Demonstrate which has the better brakes.
Which uses less fuel
etc etc.

That's not smear, it's demonstrating a clear difference.

If Samsung show an unbiased advert of their large screen device being stronger under the exact same test as a competing model, then that's a good thing for customer information.

Statements like Plastic Suks, Apple Rulez is just pathetic.

There is no such thing as aluminium is better or plastic is better as BETTER is a human concept.
Aluminium could be THE rarest element in the planet, and so could Plastic.

Its a totally man made concept.

Myself, I would love to see someone make a Carbon Fiber shell, exactly coping the iPhone 6+, replace the aluminium with the carbon fiber and see how it is.

I'd love to see that.

Magnesium, Graphite, Carbon Fibre, Kevlar etc, all these types of product, when combined/used correctly would leave Aluminium as a laughing stock of a material.

Apple will of course, move away from Aluminium in time.
And when they do, whatever they choose, will then be deemed as an amazing new material.

You know this is what will happen

Even myself, I would say Steve Jobs as an individual has done more harm to the progress of computing on the planet than anyone else in it's short history.

In my opinion Steve Jobs, like Henry Ford and Thomas Edison - are arseholes who changed the world.

None of them were really inventors nor original - however what they offered is in some ways far more valuable.

They were catalysts for change.

To me Steve Jobs killed progression.
The whole industry started to see how Apple was making money, and making money is all companies want in reality.

We were pushing harder and harder, faster and faster, more and more improvements all the time.
Now that's a mere shadow of what it was.

Giant companies are no longer pushing hard for greater and greater things, they are just aiming for low power mediocre products that are good enough to keep a typical consumer happy.

We will get out of this rut eventually I'm sure, or I hope so.

I'm just pointing out there are MANY around the globe that despise Apple and all it stands for with a passion.

Not one Super Villain that's been dreamed up by a few people here.

Before I believe that I need:

- a photo of you beside the bridge;
- a ruler against the bridge under the right lighting conditions;
- you holding a piece of paper with your name on it.

Thanks.

(just kidding ;))

That guy bent it without much effort.
I can clearly see the weak point is exactly at the same postion as first video the guy made.

Without much effort? Are you serious? He's bending intentionally the phone with two hands. Are you doing the same thing every day with your phone, right? What else? Are you cleaning it in the wash machine?

LOL
you cracked me there

Its really hilarious to see how apple fanboys are searching the whole internet for one single video/photo proof of iphone not bending and when they find it, they confidently say "put it to rest!"... sooner or later more and more bent iphones are going to pop up and you all know it, you just dont want to admit it yet because of your strange love for some company (im sure psihiatric analisys would come up with quite intereseting explanation to why is this such a case)

It's really hilarious to see Apple haters still posting this "quality" posts on this Apple centric forum. I'm sure psychiatric analysis would come up with quite interesting explanation to why is this such a case.

Every other phone won't bend with this kind of use. Stop trolling, you've been at it since the start of the thread.

What's your statement based on? Try to answer it with facts rather than lols and calling people a troll. Take your time.
