I don't know if this is new or not, but I have never seen it.
I was playing a Podcast and didn't see the progression bar to show me where I was in the podcast. So I touch the screen and it brings up the text of the podcast (as entered by the author) and the progression along the top.
Under that is a 30 inside a 270 degree arc with an arrow. What it is, is a skip back 30 seconds. This is great for podcasts, if you're doing something and you miss something, very nice.
Next I noticed on the right side is 1X. Sure enough, touch it and it goes to 2X, touch it again it goes to 1/2X. Very nice.
Also on the left side is an email link, pressing it composes an email, from you, and says, "Check out this podcast on iTunes :" and then there is an iTunes link. Sweet.

the 30 second rewind and the 1X 2X 1/2X was there in 3.0
as for the email link i believe that is new.
I enabled the multitasking and user wallpaper feature on my 3G by changing a file over SSH but multitasking doesn`t seam to work with other apps than those from apple

I'm pretty sure that's because the developers have to write that into their apps to be able to be used in the background. It will come when 4.0 is finally released.
I figured he meant blank home screen pages. But correct me if I'm wrong. That's interesting. I guess it's nice to have a separator...

FINALLY, after many a
I've sent many a txt and then gone to do other things on the phone only to look at my txts a few hours later, or the next day, to find that it didn't go through.
This is going to be really helpful, I haven't noticed that I didn't send a message a few times.
MMS yes but never had that red exclamation mark on a regural text.

I'm doing this from my iPhone so I don't feel like going through all these pages, but is there any new feature for mail sounds? I think that is one gripe most business people cannot get past. Having one, small monotone sound for an email is not sufficient imo..... Any sort of option for adding more / longer sounds for email notification?

That's wonderful. Working in an area with a poor signal, I get them all the time. This will eliminate a LOT of long, awkward pauses in conversation.
